“Excuses” Hard to label them that when you and I don’t really know what’s going on and are speculating but hey if you know cam personally or know a nfl team’s gm please enlighten us.

common sense is no team is going to dedicate a portion of there cap on a whim that cam is healthy just on hearsay or Instagram videos, without there dr’s taking a look at him. Signing him to such a contract with the only worthwhile tape being in the beginning half of 2018 would be shitty gming. This isn’t a rb, which is plug and play this is a qb. This is also without knowing the other variables, asking price, if he was offer a backup job, ect.

Once the ban is lifted and he’s still not getting any tryouts, meetings ect than you can gloat until then your opinion is as valid as mine

Clearly you didn't read the post you quoted.  Either that or contractual nuance doesn't register on your radar screen.

I was a huge proponent of bringing Cam back, 110% behind it and believe it was the right thing to do --- with one caveat --- so don't whine to me about "gloating".

Will be interested to see if you can assimilate, here's the deal...

...remember when Riverboat left and Cam went onto one of his litany of social media platforms thanking 'Boat and saying "thank you for letting me be me"...?

At this point no NFL team is interested in letting Cam be Cam...

...capiche?  (binge watching some Sopranos here ;-)

Durability concerns aside, what has Cam shown that prices he could be great in this league?

Sure he had some high highs. But his entire career here has been a convincing story of inconsistency. Players who are great may not be flashy all the time, but they are very consistent.

Any team considering Cam would be rolling the dice twice- once for his durability, and another for actual production.

What weapons did Cam have during his time here? When teams draft a qb they put pieces around the qb. Even Bridgewater’s weapons are better than what Cam had.

We are talking about injuries here if you are implying he’s hasn’t been signed because of anything besides injury just say it and make it clear instead of making your point unclear and rambling about. In your post you quoted me from, your point was they could sign him to a deal that protects them cam failing a physical yada ya ya.

The fact is it’s rarely done for qbs, teams like to have them go through a try out ect with there team officials. Comparing it to a rb who at least played in 2018 and 2019 and is the easiest plug and play position besides kicker or punter, to a qb who hasn’t been healthy since week 8 of 2018 isn’t a comparison.

again if you think it’s not because of injury, be clear and decisive on it and go from there don’t piggy back on a debate that’s was already done

Whether you believe he’s unsigned because of Health or something else, which by your post hints personality

Re-read it.  If you are still unclear, re-read again....eventually you will (hopefully) assimilate.  Maybe some of the contractual nuance will settle in during the process....LOL.

Or get off the fence and make an statement....naw that’s too easy let’s just beat around the bush

I’d argue that during his best year was when he had the least “weapons.” We’ve always had a strong run game, had Olsen for a long time, had smitty early, had young fast receivers late. Cam wasn’t known for being a high percentage passer. Was it scheme? His own talent? The talent around him? It’s all just a guess at this point but my point is that Cam in more years than not could not rise above whatever challenges he faced and lead the team to winning seasons.

Our run game was average. Cam’s running inflated the numbers big time. Olsen was his only true weapon until recently. Can’t expect a qb to put hall of fame numbers with a weak supporting cast.

I think Cam was a tranformative player in the NFL, in his time with the Panthers, but I don't think he was a transformative passer.

Cam did have moments were you could see him becoming a good passer as his career went on, in the vein of a Steve McNair, but injuries derailed that in the last 2 years. We just ended up with a very incomplete picture of who he is as a passer in a very pivotal time in his career.

He's going to have to be consistent in the future, where ever he ends up, to stick around the league. He can't swing between a good passer, and being non-4th quarter Jake Delhomme on a bad day.
