Sucks seeing Cam not signed yet

I am really surprised that this kid is not signed yet. I’ve seen year after year of some teams sign ing Journey men QBs. It makes no sense for a former and still young mvp to not be considered for a starting job.  Who knows . Maybe it is how much money he is demanding but I would hope someone sign him to a starting job. I have a funny feeling about Vegas taking him tho

Why is everyone so worried about Cam? He had a great run..made an ungodly amount of money and Is still young and bangin Instagram models. He’s set. Dude doesn’t have to work another day in his life.

Our former QB having a child out of wedlock with another woman as the result of infidelity against the mother of his four children should not be admired.

Some have some haven’t

looks like the ones with more serious injury concerns are pending

I think if there was a major interest, someone would make it happen

Still think his best option at a best location is to wait until someone gets injured.

Maybe it's just me but I dont really care. I am only interested in what happens on the football field. As long as he's not committing a crime.  I dont care what he does "in the community" either. Rarely do we really know these guys.  And are saying everyone you admire or interact with are without faults?

A lot of doctors or medical centers are still unable to perform elective tests or exams due to lock down. Depends on which state/county/city. Because of CAM's injuries, at least two or more doctors will be involved. Also the majority of NFL offices are closed to the LD. Owners, GMs, & coaches have not been able to sit at a table & discuss signing some players especially if it means they will have to admit failure of their present choices. IMO. At least 3-5 teams were QB play away from the playoffs. again IMO

I am not sure what this has to do with anything. I don't pay attention to worry about players personal life. None of my business and I really don't care. I just worry about my own life and keep kicking. I am just all about football.

I agree, patience is key during this time,  which looks like he’s prepared for the long game

Beginning to think Cam will retire soon.

He was able to get a physical the day before he was released.  Why not get checked out by team docs as well?  Teams don't give a rip about your abs or how much you sweat on videos, especially as a QB.  They want to know if your throwing (money) shoulder is okay, and they want to know if your foot is okay.  THAT is what you have to prove.  Cam is a great athlete and huge.  Shoulder and foot guys, shoulder and foot.  It does not matter if someone in the league dies tomorrow, Cam will not get the call unless his shoulder and foot check out.  It is NOT that all spots have been filled.  The league knows who he is, they had to play against him, and many lost.  They know what an asset he can be "if healthy"

You are 100% correct.

Gurley was on the market for less than 24-hours before agreeing to a new deal with the Falcons which was secured on 3/20/20 pending a physical.

On 4/7/20 the Falcons GM went on the record with the following:

"We looked closely at it," Dimitroff said of Gurley's health. "We have language in our contracts that are going to protect us and the player". If the player comes in and has an issue that he might not pass a physical, then that's something that we'll address then. We're not looking at it that way [of Gurley possibly failing the physical]. In our mind, we're thinking about Todd Gurley coming in ... he really takes care of his body well and he'll continue to work on it.

"We'll continue to be very mindful about what we are dealing with. We feel very comfortable with it. Of course, this is a tough game and it's a warrior game. We know that. ... But he's a hard-charging runner. And he's an excellent football player. We are counting on him to be an excellent football player for us."

-------------------------------

Therein lay the rub, the inability to conduct an immediate physical is not the issue preventing any NFL team from signing up Cam Newton...

...see the highlighted quote above.

If a team was interested in Cam they would take the same path as the Falcons have with Gurley --- namely, lock him down and take him off the market, and protect the team on the off chance the player (Cam) cannot pass a physical.

The excuses really have become incredibly laughable...

“Excuses” Hard to label them that when you and I don’t really know what’s going on and are speculating but hey if you know cam personally or know a nfl team’s gm please enlighten us.

common sense is no team is going to dedicate a portion of there cap on a whim that cam is healthy just on hearsay or Instagram videos, without there dr’s taking a look at him. Signing him to such a contract with the only worthwhile tape being in the beginning half of 2018 would be shitty gming. This isn’t a rb, which is plug and play this is a qb. This is also without knowing the other variables, asking price, if he was offer a backup job, ect.

Once the ban is lifted and he’s still not getting any tryouts, meetings ect than you can gloat until then your opinion is as valid as mine

Which is the whole reason he was cut in the first place.  It's not about this year, it's about can he stay healthy for 3 or 4 years down the road and how will his shoulder be at that time.  Until that is know no one is going to sign him no matter how many twitter or IG videos he does.
