Trey "motherfuging" Lance that is all..

He will be a RSO, so him coming out is a BIG IF.  In a stacked QB class like next year, you would have to think if it would be better for him to stay in school, defend the national championship, bolster his resume more and potentially be the #1 overall in 2022.  At best he's QB3 next year and not everyone is sold on that notion across the board.

Like someone else said, only if all the elite QBs, LTs, and i would even throw in CBs are gone. I loved watching Luke for 8 years but pass rush and cover corners is how you win with defense in the league. Fix those things first then add in LBs.

If we have a bigger need at a higher positional value, I 100% agree.

But, like I said about IF we had taken Simmons, at this point we just need talent. Even if Brown was a better and more logical pick, Simmons would have been fine because we are largely devoid of talent as a team.

If are picking top 5 like this mock says, than we will have bigger needs than a LB

They said that this isn't taking into account team need or positional value. All of the teams above us in this mock except JAcksonville have quarterbacks, so we'd probably end up with Fields or Lance if they weren't just putting their big board next to a made up order of team names.

Top 10 pick guarentee getting his career started early not risking injuries before getting paid.. He is coming out the hype is big enough and only growing.. QB3 this year still a top 10 pick..

Possibly, but it's far from a given he's going to declare, especially since he's a RSO.

If we are picking 5th it doesn't matter if the teams ahead of need QBs are not.  Teams will move up to pick elite QB prospects, which both Trevor and Fields are looking like right now.

You better be in the top 2.

    • Soooo many bad turnovers again. Luckily Martin played well.
    • Yes. Cade 100% tripped and pitched it to Mafah.  That’s not in dispute.  We agree on that.  Mafah got the ball, fell to the ground and then attempted to complete the rest of the play….which was the lateral to the WR on the end around.  You are calling the lateral from Mafah to the end around WR the ball popping up.   It was whistled dead.   Then they ran another play.  the review then awarded the ball to SC after we ran another play for what happened after a play was whistled dead.   How does that part work lol?  How do you recover a ball if a play was whistled dead for a downed player prior to a recovery?  I think the refs screwed Clemson twice.   That’s not why they lost.  Please don’t think that is my argument.   They lost because Cade chocked and panicked at the end.  They lost because Sellers should have been put on the ground for a loss countless times and they didn’t.  They lost because our over loyal Dabo wouldn’t bench his favorite hurt RB.    Clemson lost for lots of reasons. SC deserved to win.  Those calls were bad though IMO.  They exist in every game.
    • I can’t recall an NBA team with this many injuries.  It’s getting absurd at this point
