Panthers to sign OL Michael Schofield

Panthers signed OG Michael Schofield, formerly of the Chargers, to a one-year contract.

Schofield, 29, started all 16 games for the Chargers last season, playing the fifth-most snaps among all right guards in the NFL. He graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 43 guard out of 82 qualifiers, receiving passing marks for his pass protection. The seventh-year pro has started 66 career games and will immediately come in and push Bengals castoff John Miller for the job at right guard.

The Panthers signed OG Michael Schofield to a one-year deal, a league source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Schofield has started 27 games for the Los Angeles Chargers since 2017. He was a member of the 2015 Broncos who beat the Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Adds stability and a veteran presence to the offensive line.

Rhule said he could not stand in fort of the guys and not try to win. Im all for competing, just the moment its crystal clear no playoffs, tank. Keep up whatever image, but lose.

Agreed but there's enough talent this year to win 5-7 games. The Trevor/ Fields sweepstakes folks are going to be disappointed.
