With lots of luck, who knows. CB can be hidden somewhat, I did see where players called DC Snow yoda for all his football knowledge. Still great play callers can get the matchups they want, Sean Payton is the best in the league. ALso heard during all this 19 stuff, that its much easier to coach defensive to rookies than offensive. I still have them as 4-12 team.

Darqueze Dennard and one of Ross Cockrell or Javien Elliott, that alone would go along way for fixing the CBs. OG just needs a Norwell to happen, miller can hold down the RG spot. LG is one of the easier spots to fill most times, Daley could have a Norwell impact. Depth overall depth is a big issue, the team has decent starters. Then the backups are XFL talent, any injuries to starters form WR, OL, RB, DT, CB......(basically the whole team).... and the replacement is a huge fall in talent/skills.

Im not going to judge this team til the start of 2021 season.

Guess I'll just have to wait and see how teams do this. I would still like to see specific answers to my questions from a source. For now, I trimmed mine back to 53 from 55. Took off Hamilton and Marz.

What I don't understand about the 55 player squad...what's to stop a team from cutting a couple guys, assigning them to PS, then immediately calling them back up, signing 2 more for the PS, all just to say this is their week 1 roster? Or is there a certain time a team can only call up 2 players? And are they even allowed to fill the 2 blank PS spots from the players they called up?

@Untouchable I don't think you had to change your title. I'm not sure how teams would do this for their final cut down. Just have to wait and see.

So I looked this up and my understanding of it is you can promote up to two players from your practice squad to your active roster each week. You then send those extra players back to the PS without having to clear waivers twice. Try it a 3rd time and they are fair game.

I don't think you'll see teams doing this every week because it seems more like an injury protection if a position gets hit hard because you still have to cut your game day roster to 48 (3 backup OL is a requirement for one of the two extra game day spots).

I'm going to switch it back to 53.

With the addition of Schofield to OL, I can say I am ok with where we stand at: OL, WR, TE, RB, and S. That's depth included. Things are starting to take decent shape. Add a nice CB signing and I will be ok here too. We would be a decent DL and QB away from being competitive. That is, if Teddy, Brown and KK exceed expectations this year, we could be in for a surprise.

I'd disagree with you there because I think we have good pieces in a lot of areas, provided they all stay healthy, but we don't have many game changers on the roster. The complimentary guys are nice, but you need guys that can pull in the kind of respect demanded by guys like Kuechly, Cam, Olsen (in his prime), and people of that quality to compliment CmC and Moore before I believe we're really ready to be a "good" team again. I also love KK, but he's on the wrong side of 30, and I don't believe he's ever going to match what he did in his prime again, even with Brown next to him.

Yea aside from CMC there really isn't a guy on either side of the ball that can take over a game and win despite a poor team performance, which is what good to great teams need to win a championship. Usually that player is the QB.

Take KC for example. They played like liquid monkey poo for the first quarter of the AFC Divisional Round game against the Texas and were quickly in a 0-24 hole. Then Patrick Mahomes puts the entire team on his back and they end up BLOWING OUT the Texans. They were LEADING by halftime! Absolutely insane.

Not saying you need to have a Patrick Mahomes type QB to win a championship, because the 49ers don't and they almost won the Superbowl, but their team as a whole was strong from top to bottom. So you really need to have one or the other, and if you have both your team is probably going to win the Superbowl.

So after I made my roster, I had what I thought was a earthquake. Shaking was getting stronger, so I ran outside and saw the most amazing thing. Alex Armah was carrying a bus full of rest home people to the hospital, he yelled "Milk MAN!". I looked on with a puzzled looked, he said again "MILK MAAN!!". So I ran to the refrigerator grabbed my new milk and a glass. I handed him both and he drank it straight form the jug in under 7.6 seconds. Crushed it walked over to recycling bin and threw in the trash bin like a man-beast.

"Rumor is I was left off a guy named "Basbear" roster, would you know anything bout that??" I dropped to my knees knowing I dont have the ability to lie, "Please forgive me, I made a big mistake"......I'll fix it, trust me" He nods and walks over to the bus then puts the bumper up on his shoulders. Said "Rhules Rules" and got in motion. True story.

That with untouch doing research and Schofield signing, I need to version 2.0

26 on offensive

1 FB-Alex Armah

3 QBs- 2 gloves, Walker, and Grier. If theres any year the panthers can carry a extra QB its this one.

4 RBs- CMC, Bonnafon, Scarlett, Rodney Smith. Davis is cut to save 3 million cause Smith showed promise.

3 TEs- Thomas, Manhertz, DeValve Extra spot gos here

9 OL- Paradis, Larsen, Little, Daley, Miller, Reed, Okung, Moton, Matt Schofield. Marty needs to focus here along with CB

6 WRs- Moore, Samuel, Anderson, Roberts, Omar Bayless, Zlystra. Very top heavy.

24 Defensive

4 DTs- KK, Brown, Kerr, Roy. Like all spots, this group needs to stay healthy here.

5 DEs- Burns, Gross, Weatherly, Obada, Miller. Happy to call this a nice group of young talent.

6 LBs- Smith, Shaq, Carter, Kunaszyk, Orr, Whitehead,. ST drives this group

5 CBs- Jackson, Pride, Oliver, free agent, free agent. What a group......

4 Safety- Boston, Burris, Chinn, Robinson. Like DE didnt see this becoming a strength. Its much welcomed

no cares about ST, marty needs to trade either Gano or Slkye for a CB/OLmen.

I don't disagree with your expectations (Other than Anderson, I think he compliments Moore very well, and Samuel/CmC at slot is nasty). Noticed I used words like "decent" and "ok". You quoted "good" like I said that, and I didn't. I'm stating there is a plan that is unfolding before us. One that, with 1-2 more pieces and a couple of guys playing beyond their expectations may surprise us this year. That's all.

A 2nd year, 2nd round tackle that we barely got to see last year because of concussions? I highly doubt it

I can wish can't I.  Never liked the pick and even when healthy never showed that so called "ELITE" potential.
