It's unfair but I am weary of OSU QBs as well. Their system and athletic talent is so far beyond any teams they compete with that just about any QB flourishes there. But the big number QBs never pan out.

I'll hope for Lance or Lawerence, even Newman if he has a great season.

It could be said for all the top Power 5 schools and not just at QB.  OSU is not unique in this regard.  For all their hype LSU, Bama, Clemson, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, etc...have their share of duds in the NFL as well.

Why are we worried about our 2021 pick?

Because Teddy Bridgewater is our quarterback. I saw Kyle Allen and a terrible Panthers team put the whooping on Teddy Bridgewater in a week 17 meaningless game that pushed us from a top10 pick to #16 in the draft.

Fields or Lance.

I think we will be picking in the 5-10 range, so Fields might not make it either, depending on where Chase & Surtain II goes.

I would be equally happy with Chase, Surtain II or Parsons too.

Chase is a damn friggin stud.

Ammunition isn’t going to matter. Assuming he’s healthy (knock on wood, don’t want to jinx him), he’s the first pick and no one will trade out of the top spot. If you want Lawrence you need to already have the pick. Unless it’s a freak occurrence like Mahomes signs his extension and gets hurt and they go 1-15, I can’t fathom a team with an older QB or a younger QB that wouldn’t keep Lawrence. Washington keep Haskins, Jax keep Minshew, us keep Teddy, Detroit, Giants, Colts? Heck, I’d move on from Mayfield and others.

Maybe the Jets end up sucking with the 1st pick. Decides to keep Gase at HC and are dumb enough to keep Darnold over Trevor. Jk but you are right. My point is, I don’t believe that we will suck more than a few other teams. Unless Tepper will come in and force the team to tank some games later on in the season, I don’t see us getting Trevor Lawrence. Another team that you could probably add to the list of possible bad teams is Minnesota. My brother in law is a Vikings fan and he’s not too sure how good they’ll be this season. They lost Diggs, Rhodes, Waynes and Griffin.

Never heard of Trey Lance before today, but after seeing some highlight reels, I'm officially hyped. The scrambling is impressive, but the arm strength is what really hooked me. The ball just soars off his arm so effortlessly. And it's not just the distance, it's the placement. He's hitting his receivers downfield in stride, and doesn't seem to have the issue of the ball sailing on him. I'm keeping a close eye on him next year.

LOL I'ma say it now. We don't draft a QB in 2021. We're gonna be more competitive than y'all think

The is the stupidest thing I keep hearing. Do you really think that the richest owner in the NFL who just gave a college head coach a $60 million contract is going to ride with Teddy Bridgewater to the Super Bowl? I’m not a fan of Tepper but I believe that he will get it done with Rhule. Joe Brady didn’t leave LSU because he didn’t want to miss out on the chance to coach Teddy Bridgewater. Teddy’s contract shows that he’s a stop gap QB and very easily be cut.

I rarely watch college football. And when I do, I rarely watch FCS games. Draft time comes around, I really count on the expert analysis, because unless a guy was playing on a AP 25 team, odds are I've never heard of him.
