I think you’re making everything more complicated than it really is. You’re stressing yourself and me out. Possibility that Pats could’ve felt that we wanted Dugger. But wouldn’t you think, if they really felt that way, they would’ve moved up a little higher than us to make sure they secure Dugger? They stayed put with the 5th pick on Friday night knowing we were right after them. This theory would probably be more realistic if you are to argue that we traded up ahead of the Jets to get Chinn.

Thankfully we had Rhule riding herd on Hurney and it resulted in us getting one of our better, if not best, all time drafts in my opinion.

Not what I'm saying, you're just theorizing scenario after scenario and it's not really accomplishing anything.  What are we accomplishing by theorizing about the dance of the scouts and Rhule during the pre-draft process?  I feel like you're wasting your own time and juast trying to help here lawls.  Going down an entirely unnecessary rabbit hole. 

I do appreciate you're proactiveness in putting content on here though.  This is just...erhhh..a lot of overthinking about things that we cannot verify at the end of the day so it's a lot for a little  Don't want to over bash though...I'll just let this investigative pre-draft theorizing continue...adios

I don’t think any team approaches the draft with the mindset of “Oh I’ll just pick this one guy now cause I can just get this other guy in so-and-so round later”...the draft is way too unpredictable.

Normally you are right--but with the dearth of information, Did Rhule play his cards?  Not saying this was not plan C or D, just saying that I get the feeling he had these guys in his cross hairs and would not let Marty go crazy trading. 

Believe it or not, what I wrote was concise compared to if I had written every piece of the puzzle.  For example, Marty, in an interview, told a reporter (paraphrasing): "I just could not stand the thought of a draft without a trade." 

WTF?  That led me to think it is POSSIBLE that Rhule made it clear that he had some plans for those bottom of the draft picks---Of course if a Fulton or Diggs had dropped, it would have changed everything.

I do not get stressed on a message board.  Sorry this is stressing you out.  When I come on here, I throw stuff at the wall.  I am not an expert--and neither are you.  No stress.  Take it or leave it.  Don't read it.  And everything is not simple. The point of this?  Rhule was in control.  he did not let Marty go full retard.  He had a plan on day 3---and it is in the tea leaves.  Marty shoots from the hip after round 1.  Rhule seems to have had a plan for all seven levels.  It was refreshing.  Sorry you cant see it.
