I think signing Miller and grabbing Okung were good moves for the off-season. If Little pays off moving inside we have the ability to be slightly better as an entire unit than we did last season. Not sure what the deal with Paradis is, but I'm just going to assume he never returns to form. We need to find long term answers all over the line over the next 2 seasons. We need to be a lot meaner in the trenches.

My bigger concern is that I think Dennis Daley could be a really good LG but we are going to force him to RG to play Greg Little at LG to justify his draft spot.

It's my hope that Rhule is smart enough not to force guys to start because of their draft position or salary and will legitimately put the best team on the field. Ron Rivera never seemed to understand how to do that. Veterans would start long past their usefulness and young players would mire on the bench for way too long

I assume, unless there's another FA pickup, that it'll be Daley at LG and Miller at RG with Larsen filling in depth for the entire IOL.

But why move Little inside?

Okung has 1 yr left on his deal and Little was drafted in the 2nd round to be a tackle, not guard. A concussion and ankle injury in his rookie season, and we're already talking about moving him to a completely different position on the OL?

Daley makes sense bc he started last year as Turner's backup at RG and has played guard.

Be patient.... let Little fully recover and learn the ropes from a veteran LT, and then take over in 2021. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

It's my understanding that Fluker was pretty terrible last season. He was only set to hit the Seahawks for around $3M in cap space which isn't much for a veteran starting OG. Gotta think this is a pure performance based move vs. a cap savings move. They drafted LSU OG Damien Lewis in the 3rd round. Fluker gets cut a couple of days later. I don't think there's any coincidence involved in that.

He’s not OL but Arizona would “gladly” move on from Haason Reddick.

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/arizonasports.com/story/1103248/former-temple-coach-matt-rhule-on-haason-reddick-hes-everything-thats-right-with-college-football/amp/

Rhule on Reddick:

“I love Haason,” Rhule told Doug and Wolf Friday on 98.7 FM, Arizona’s Sports Station. “He’s everything that’s right with college football. He’s tough, he’s hard-nosed. He got his degree and played so hard for us and so well for us and helped us turn this program around.

“You’re really kind of getting versatility, you’re getting two players in one,” the coach said. “He’s a guy who can play off the ball and be a weakside inside linebacker and use that 4.5 speed to cover guys out of the backfield and at the same time, I think he can be a tremendous weapon blitzing. Not many running backs are going to be able to block this kid.

“And he’s a great nickel rusher. You get into the sub packages — he can put his hand in the ground and his burst and athleticism and getting up the field are elite, even at that level, so I think they’ll use him probably as a combination off-the-ball linebacker, but also knowing they have a tremendous nickel pass rusher as well.”

Be interesting to see if Rhule makes a play for him

Is he a free agent?

Let's pump the breaks a minute guys.  Likely a majority of teams are going to be kicking some vets to the curb this week.  Probably not a wise idea to sign the first couple of guys to hit the market.  Allow things to develop, assess, then sign.

People keep acting like Paradis didn’t come of a significant injury and come to a team in turmoil. Let the man have a chance to get his poo back together. No wonder we haven’t had back to back winning seasons, if we had people in the front office drastically irrationally thinking like this then it all makes sense now.

People keep hating on Paradis.  And I get it.  But multiple times last year former players were on WFNZ talking about that was not necessarily Paridis’s fault.  They were saying he was being asked to do more than any center in the league bc our LG was being asked to help our porous LT on every snap.  Saying you can’t leave your center on an island every play because teams will exploit that.  I never played so I am not sure about that. But I will take their word for it and see how Paradis is this year with another full offseason to recover and a decent LT.

Because Little doesn't have a great wingspan and isn't super athletic. There's a good reason why he was seen as a Guard or G/T tweener during last year's draft. I could see him playing RT, but not LT long term in the NFL. He just simply doesn't have the body for it.

The reason so many people are upset with the pick is because they took a guy who had an injury history, and had a really low floor without a high ceiling.

And what did we get out of it? He looked out of place at Tackle and he got hurt. What was our problem when we brought him in? We have a bunch of linemen that couldn't stay healthy.

I do believe Little can be a good player, especially if he kicks inside to Guard. However, the risk with taking Little when we did and playing him where we did, knowing what we did was absurd.

There is a lot of truth to this. LT was an abysmal position for the Panthers last season. Daley and Little both got blown over many times.

One of the things that heavily influenced Ron's stance on these things is that he himself was forced out as a player when he still felt he had more left in the tank. He doesn't want to do that to others.

Will be very Interesting to see how much run, the rookies and even second year guys get this year under Rhule, given Ron's love for Vets.
