I see 5 to 6 winnable games and that's assuming we split with ATL and either TB or NO because its a division game and those are always tight/weird. I like our chances at against LAC with either Tyrod or their rook. Trubustky doesn't scare me with CHI. LVR with Carr and DEN with Lock are beatable. 

Were gonna put up big time points on offense. We need these rookies to show out like they did in college.

1. New coach - Who knows if he is good or not, we hope but this is his first rodeo

5. Losing our leader and play caller at linebacker

8. Teddy bridgewater - we dont know much about him or if he can make it 16 games

9. Our schedule is brutal and our division looks like it will be insanely good

 

I probably could go on but if you bundle all of those above together it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that we are going to be bad this season.  My main concern is the oline and keeping Teddy healthy

It’s really all speculation then, isn’t it MRC11? You can make an argument that we’ll have a bad season and based on your reasonings, most of us can agree they probably will. However, there’s also a possibly that this team is not as talentless - albeit young - as many fans think they are and can steadily get better as the season progresses. At this point, no one knows for sure until the season starts - if there is one.

This team is being rebuilt or refurbished or WTH they’re calling it - the ultimate goal is to build a consistent winner and that’s going to take some time and a lot of growing pains e.g. losses but Rome wasn’t built in a day.

And I agree with your points - good ones - especially concern about the OL. Hopefully the staff will monitor that situation closely and put the best 5 out there to protect Bridgewater.

I'd say realistically we're looking at around 5 wins, if you factor in an upset game we're not suppose to win. Anything over 6 would be an incredible over-achievement. 

If the Panthers fall under 4 wins, without too much significant injury, I believe there may be cause for concern. If they only get 2 or 3 wins it signals a bigger problem than just roster talent, injuries not factored in.

You don't need to go 5-11 to get a QB whose not going to be a Top10 pick.

strongly depends on if Bridgewater can stay healthy and how good he is if healthy.

Bad QB play = terrible season usually. But even Kyle won 5 games for us last year with that terrible defense and bad oline. 

I think if Teddy is even remotely serviceable and Okung doesn't get injured that automatically takes us out of the first 5 picks.

Idk, the schedule is a lot tougher this year, and it's more than just Teddy. Even without Teddy going down you're operating on razor thin margins at literally every spot on defense if you include the rookies and are expecting them to play like starters or rotational players.

The offense probably hinges on the health of Teddy and Okung, but the defense is beyond thin.

Agreed, I think 5 wins is pretty accurate. It's not just the fact that we'll have a lot of rookies getting substantial snaps, our coaching staff are virtually rookies. Brady's spent two years in the league as an offensive assistant. Rhule only coached one year in the league as an assistant offensive line coach over eight years ago and Phil Snow's been out of the league since 2008. There's going to be an adjustment period for those guys as well.
