2021 mock draft

You know not every player in this league stays 10-15 years.  Many might make it to their second contract if they are lucky.  No one is going to give less than 100%.

Tanking or Steath Tanking as you call it, isn't going to happen.  Rhule will put this team out there to win every game.  From game 1 to 16.   If we go 0-16, which isn't impossible,  then it will be because we made too many mistakes and just not enough talent.  Got it.  But I can guarantee this team will play every game to win.

Having a loser mentality is not good for anyone.  Look at Cleveland.  They have had such a loser mentality they still can't get over the hump because they haven't built a winner's attitude.  Recently they have added player after player and the media has marked them to win the AFC North (2019),  and with their haul this year they will be predicted to win it again.  They might win the WC spot.

PLAY TO WIN.

I think you mistake what I'm saying.

I believe we signed talent we can win with, but there isn't enough there to be a difference maker and win us a lot of games with possibly the toughest schedule in the league this upcoming year.

I don't think they're trying to tank, but more that they've basically accepted that they can't break the team's future trying to fix everything now. That essentially they'll get they're draft picks because of the depth situation, and injuries, even though the plan is to win.

I think it's very different than deliberately trying to lose, but you have to use the word "tank" now-a-days to satisfy the unwashed masses.

I am not a fan of Bridgewater but they at least brought in a player that know our offensive scheme.   I give them credit for that.  He isn't Cam and won't carry this team but I believe our offense will be fine.  It's the defense that worries me.  Too many rookies and the lose of Luke hurts like hell.

Our defense is in rebuilding mode. A bunch of talented rookies to go with the other young core. We’ll be bad and a bunch of rookies making rookie mistakes, but they’ll grow up together for the future. The offense is what worries me. It’s like how Ron used to fix the secondary by patching it up with busts/JAGS. Next year’s draft will be offense heavy.

I could easily see 5 of the 7 picks on offense next year.  A QB1, LT1 and TE1 on the first couple of days is nearly essential.  More O-line depth at OT, OG and/or center, with a WR potentially thrown in there. Only a corner for depth and LB for the defense more than likely.

Give me Trevor, Fields or Lance in the 1st. Extend Taylor Moton at RT. And go after Ronnie Stanley, Taylor Decker, David Bakhtiari or Alejandro Villanueva if Greg Little doesn’t take the next leap this upcoming season.

I’ve said if many times. Seems like I keep having to repeat myself daily on here. Jacksonville and Detroit are the favorites and will take a QB if they get the chance to. Washington could be pretty bad if Haskins doesn’t take the next step. New York Jets is another team to watch. They’re probably not going to be much good. Sam Darnold needs to take a big leap this season to prove that he’s their franchise QB. He has been very mediocre and could be traded. Then, you gotta think of the other teams that could trade up for a QB like Pittsburgh, New England, Las Vegas, and Chicago. We need to be in the top 4 to just have a chance to get Justin Fields via a trade. So we really need guys like Newman and Lance to be great this upcoming season if there is one, in case we don’t get Trevor or Fields.

I dont see the Jags giving up on Minshew yet. Their offense wasn't loaded with talent and he went :

60.6% completions, 3k yards, 21 TDs and just 6 INTs.

He was on par with Daniel Jones and Murray despite there being much less talent on the Jacksonville offense than ARI or NYG. We are going to be a bottom 3 team in the NFL and I can't see the Jags passing up on pairing Minshew with a LT in the next draft if he performs well again. Detroit would go QB. That leaves us taking Lawrence or Fields. Then again, I think Detroit beats us head to head and has an easier schedule than us. We might finish with the worst record in the NFL.

Minshew will be a very good backup quarterback for a long time. Will get paid nicely too. There’s no way the Jags are passing up on Trevor or Fields bc of Minshew. I wish that they would be that stupid but they’re probably the only team next year that could seriously TANK.

Teams may be replacing QBs next year would be:

Saints

Lions

Redskins

Jaguars

Denver

Jets

Steelers

Buccaneers

Panthers

Bears

* Browns - They're due by their own standards

* Raiders - Though I think Carr isn't the problem there.

* Colts - Could see Rivers retiring if things don't go well

* Falcons - Atlanta is boom or super bust this year.

Now I in no way believe all those teams will be looking at QB, but a few or more certainly could be. The biggest question for the Panthers, if you're hoping for a QB next year, is which of those teams are going to have a worse season than we are?

I think we are misusing Moton.  I honestly believe he would be a Pro Bowl guard.  Daley will not be anymore than a backup at LT, so why not give him a shot as the primary backup RT to Moton this year and in 2021 slide Moton inside to RG then Daley takes over RT?  Maybe we find a gem with one of these undrafted guys for LG.  If that pans out, we are a LT and center away from having a pretty good OL.  Possibly Tack or Mauioga shines in camp and becomes the primary backup center making Paradis expendable in 2021.  All that speculation aside, the key for 2021 still hinges on LT.

Moton is the best tackle we’ve had since Jordan Gross. He’s not a guard. Moton will be a pro bowl RT very soon.

Moton is versatile and the very reason he was drafted.  I'm not disputing he can be a very good RT, I just think he would dominate as a guard.

I like Moton more at RT. He’s long and lean. I like my guards to be back like Trai and ugly like Norwell.
