Feedback on the Panthers draft seems universally positive.

I'm sure one can be located if a search is conducted but I've not seen an overall grade below A-...

...so how did we get there with such a stupid and lousy owner and an even worse GM?

Mel Kiper gave us a 'B.'  Take it with a grain of salt.  I've seen him give us an 'A' before with a garbage draft.

I would like to say that the interactions on the Huddle were positive and constructive.  Not too many asshats trying to build their self esteem by attacking others without counterpoints.  People shared opinions and ideas and I did not see much dickheadism.  Nice.

If Kiper had been alive 150 years ago, he would be that guy in a wagon selling snake oil from town to town to cure ailments.  He is a joke.  Funny to watch him rattle off cliches with a half woodie under the table as if he is the all knowing Zoltaire--king of draft knowledge.  Notice that no team ever offered him a GM job--Mayock got one and he was spewing informed opinions for a shorter period of time.

I loved the draft, I really wanted Brown at 7 and we got him.  He's the most disruptive force we could get and solidified the D-line for years to come.  Arguably, he was 3rd best player in the draft, and we got him at 7, fantastic. YGM was a great value pick in the second, and Im glad a lot of our fans arent the ones drafting because we would have reached for a corner or safety there if we listened to the huddle.  TGM gives us a second sure fire day 1 starter.  Chinn was a good pick and so was pride, but Kenny Robinson is the guy I think brought us the most value in the entire draft.  I didn't know much about him, but when I looked into him, everything screamed that the guy was a first round talent who got booted yet still worked his ass off and all he did was shine in the XFL.  Roy and Stantly are gonna be camp bodies who do have a leg up on making the roster since the defense is so thin, but in worst case you can stash most likely on PS.

Overall, no questionable picks, all made sense with the direction we're going and I love where our defense is today compared to even just 5 days ago.  We're building a dominant defense and it just started with a huge influx of youth and talent.

On paper, the guys we got all fill needs we had, while never reaching for any guy based on pre-draft evaluations.

They are rebuilding the defense the way b it should be, from front to back.

While we no longer have Luke, the linebackers shoulder be able to feast thanks to our combination of DTs.

While we have no proven pass rushers, we certainly have a lot of talent we are throwing at it.

I'm not as concerned about our oline as many are.  I believe our offense will perform. Redbone production will be interesting to watch.

Rhule gave an interview on 4/25 where he said there were several "times where we had an offensive guy as the next guy up and as we got within 3 or 4 picks that offensive player went away so we went back to a defensive player"...

This is another clear indication that Hurndog wasn't "making" any picks on the fly.

Tepper led the rest of The Firm through matrix analysis in order to rank players based on ability, relevance to Panthers needs, and relative value --- this produced a list.  He then led them through every imaginable iteration of scenario analysis in order to anticipate which players would be available when it was their turn...

...their playbook contained a counter for every wrinkle presented by the draft and they just went down the list and called the proper play --- there was no discretion being exercised by Hurndog.

This is how things work in Tepper's world.

best draft i ever seen as a panther fan . brown is a beast hands down one of the best defensive players in the draft and is better than kk and better than what star was , he will be the leader of this defense . gross matos is greg hardy 2.0 on the field , he was suppose to be a first rounder, jeremey chin another player that was mocked as a first rounder , reminds me of bam bam kam . pride is a great value has potential to be our # 2 corner , robinson is our most valuable pick here and trust me he will be a super  star ,  roy and stanley good value picks not sure how they will pan out .
