Dumb comparison.

You do you.

Personally my opinion of "dumb" (insightful criticism, btw)  is buying into whatever a team rep says publicly when asked  about specific individual players and their future with the team.  Especially when we don't even know the basic details about our 2020 Defense.  What was Rhule supposed to say when asked for public comment about Carter?  "No, we think he sucks."  " Not one of my guys."  "Pretty much a camp body"."

As an Arkansas State fan and season ticket holder, I stopped by to see how you guys were feeling about the Omar Bayless signing. I'm no scout, but I can assure you he didn't fall out of the draft due to attitude problems, off the field issues or a lack of work ethic. He's one of the more humble players I've seen come through our university.

I think he fell due to his 40 time and only having one year of big production. His numbers in 2019 were ridiculous despite the fact he was working with two inexperienced quarterbacks that had a total of 24 completions combined going into the season.

You guys are going to love him.

If all the internet info drops on players tied to the Panthers are accurate and they all proceed to get UDFA contract, my last count was 17.  Room for 2 more, BUT veteran cuts are already starting.  The Seahawks just cut two of their starting OL from last season.  Expect a wave of cuts this week.  No immediate need to get all the way to 90.

My dark horse is Frederick Mauigoa.

Mine too.  Here's why: if Paradis looks like crap again this year, we can ditch him.  At that point, it's not an anomaly...a bad year, he just sucks.  Larsen is, and has never been, anything but a backup, period.  He's not being groomed to be 'the guy' some day.  Who's takes over for Paradis if we decide to jettison him then?  Mauigoa has that potential.  Before we traded Allen to the Ronskins, I used one of those 5ths to consistently mock a center.  My guy was Keith Ismael from SDSU, but it didn't work out.

(I think) notable UDFAs from our divisional rivals

Bucs: Michael Divinity, LB LSU...Zack Shackelford, C Texas...Parnell Motley, CB Oklahoma
Falcons: Austin Edwards, DE Ferris State (we've met with him iirc)...Jared Pinkney, TE Vanderbilt
Saints: Calvin Throckmorton, OL Oregon...Malcolm Roach, DL Texas...Joe Bachie, LB Michigan State

The Baylor center retiring but coming out of retirement to play for Rhule might be a good surprise also

It almost feels orchestrated. He was expected to be a UDFA, but possibly a late round pick. Then he decides to call it quits with football and immediately after the draft has a change of heart? I'm not saying he planned this, but it's a well known reality that once you get very late in the draft some guys are actually hoping to go undrafted at that point in order to pick their own landing spot.

Yep.

Might be why we did not draft a guy to play C late in the draft.  Ace up our sleeve
