fug guys.

wish we had two more picks and were allowed to somehow sign more guys that didn't get drafted?

and what about all the veterans that might get cut during training camp?

Are you still begging for attention?  Yeah we have a couple picks left, I'm sure they'll be super stars.  And all those UDFA HOFers are just waiting.  You know I almost forgot about all the starting caliber OL that get cut in camp.  My bad, G.

Also I kind of like the idea of fixing the team one side of the ball at a time. Seems like a better chance of creating dominant units in a shorter amount of time. Scattering the selections on a team with many areas to improve seems harder to find the right guys that wouldn't be reaches. That said we did make moves in FA to field a competent offense.

I've not said the offense wasn't competent.  The skill positions look lethal and QB should be stable for the time being.  Its that line.  Havent been able to keep the same 5 on the field nor get 5 that are good "together".  Its been years.  Almost 10 now.  But what's another year?  CMC can take it.

Yeah, hope Teddy has life insurance.  Not even worried about his knee, I'm worried for his life.

It's a means to an end. If him getting sacrificed to the Panther gods to get Lawrence next year, so be it. If yall want to be a 5-8 win team forever, so be it. I want one magical 1 to 2 win seasons to get Lawrence. The NFL is a QB driven league, and we dont have that on the roster.

What don’t we see about the G we brought and Robbie Anderson or ummm a very accurate winning QB. Our offense wasn’t  as bad as you’ll are acting like that’s what’s funny to me. We play against a dominant offensive Division. Solution a story defense.... and e could score on the Saints or Atl with Kyle running poo we know TB will be able to do more then Kyle if you closely watch football so it seems like Rhule knows what it takes to win but we’ll see soon enough I hope.

Very good point

It doesn’t have to be a hall of famer they just need to be average to above average if our schemes are as solid as we believe we’ll be a contender each week vs any team we face.

You acting like solid players don’t get cut for a similar skill set players, but extremely cheaper option makes me think you don’t watch all aspects of team building just one the draft.

That is one way to look at it.  A good way to get shitcanned but an alternative.  We went 1-15, got Peppers(Coach Fired), then we went 2-14 got Cam, (Coach Fired).  Its not a sure thing but theres a history.

Tepper hand selected Rhule to rebuild this team from the floor up. He absolutely understands what that means and the process it will take. Hes not getting fired and Lawrence will bring us the SB we all want.

I'm aware, HOF was the hyperbole.  Starter is the reality.  If you are hoping for quality starters in the 6&7 rds and UDFA, you're gonna have a bad time.  Schemes are great, they can really hide some weaknesses, but if there is 1 group where schemes are only so useful, its the oline.  I'm not even mad at the draft or anything.  It just wreaks of hedging. (could be good but if bad, real bad which is still kinda good for the draft)

You know hedging?

Like a Hedge Fund?

Hedge Fund Manager...

Tepper.  Looks like Tepper.

Most likely it is understood, as Tepper has eluded to such a "rebuilding" phase.  The thing is, those pesky fans have a way of inserting themselves into the discussion.  Not so much input as a lack thereof.

I've witnessed our 2 worst seasons first hand. The phrase "Ghost Town" comes to mind.

Oh dang I missed the good part.  Yet again, betting that a good starter is gonna fall from the sky right when you need it is asinine. All aspects of team building? lol yeah, I get espn updates to my phone too.  Do you feel you have insider knowledge that cant be found in the top 5 google results?  Come on bud, lets bring that chin down a little.

Coach tells GM what kind of players he needs, GM delivers.  This is a Hurney draft, but for a different coach, that's why it looks different.

I don’t think so. It looks different than any of  Marty’s drafts in the past. Marty has always been Marty with Foxy and Ron like Fua and McClain. He would fix area of needs with dumb picks. He would overdraft players and consistently take players from small schools and covert them to different positions. Yetur, Chinn and Robinson all looks like Rhule’s guys. None of these players we drafted this year were overdrafted. Rhule came from the college rank and knows these players better than Marty. And Robinson being from the XFL has Rhule’s fingerprints all over it just like Walker. Now, he just went with Roy who was one of his players at Baylor.

Fox and Rivera were very similar coaches.
