Kenny Robinson will have a role at least in sub-packages early on for the Panthers ,as more and more teams play with three or more safeties on the field at the same time.

I don’t know if there was big the overlap was, but Matt Rhule was at Temple when new #Panthers safety Kenny Robinson was offered. And he’s from Pittsburgh, so I’m sure that makes Dave Tepper happy

We are just so accustomed to having barely adequate starting safeties and zero safety depth that we forget that most modern NFL teams actually value the safety position and have 4 safeties on the roster that can actually contribute.

We still have serious concerns at CB (please resign Cockrell tomorrow), but I am happy that we are happy to finally be putting real effort into having a legitimate safety group.

Boston-Burris-Chinn-Robinson is already way better than anything we had for the past 10 years.

We found some short-term finds with Mike Mitchell in 2013 and Kurt Coleman in 2015, but for the most part, that group has been an unmitigated disaster.

Not being physical enough at LB is a much bigger deal than at CB or FS...
