With this statistic and great measurables, how the hell did he not get drafted in round one or two?

From nfl.com

Overview

Pride's height, weight, speed and athleticism are all pro-ready, but there is a lack of confidence and consistency that prevents him from reaching his athletic potential. Despite the track speed, he struggles to stay in phase with intermediate and deep routes and gets lost with his back to the ball. He needs to be paired with a scheme that allows him to play more off-man and zone so he can keep the game in front of him and use his burst to close coming downhill. Pride has pro traits, but he also has NFL-backup tape.

He sounds like a nickel at least this year

That sounds like every other CB on the team.

Two-sport athlete and needs some polish/refining.  Track guys are considered soft for defensive players, so that may have played a part too.  Concentrating solely on football and getting coached up, this guy can be really good.

I’m part ND fan (for my wife) I’ve watched every game ND has played the last four years. Pride is really good...then he would give up big plays. All the tools are there and is so fluid on the field. He can be a solid starter year 1.

Reminds me of Tre coming out. Had intangibles and playmaking skills but then would let up a big play.

Will probably be a frustrating guy for us over the year, wouldn't be surprised if he was liked as much as Norman his first two years here.

But we needed to do something at Corner. And he has the potential and is an athlete. Not mad at this at all.

One pro comparison was Devin McCortney. Wow. We can hope right. If we are not done at corner I like Harrison Hand out of yep Temple.

Good call, I don't think we are done at DB yet.  Certainly have to go offense in round 5.
