Just lost all faith in this team. You cannot go D-Line TWICE in the first two rounds after the #1 cb FA and arguably the greatest MLB all time retires.

Lol...you expected the team to be good this year? Really?!?

They had Luke, Beason, Thomas Davis at LB. Munnerlyn was also not terrible. This isn't comparable, Panthers had much better help in the secondary.

We're replacing Bradberry and Luke with 3rd round picks or later or crap free agents. Go see 2016.

Beason played 3 games for the Panthers in 2013 and two were losses.

Once again, Luke and TD were able to thrive that season because the D line was plain nasty. This year should help everyone on the back-end. Expect a big season from Shaq.

Don't forget you are still allowed to sign players after the draft and some good players will be available.

So drafting two defensive starters isn't doing that? Ok

Maybe start at signing a real FA at CB? Donte Jackson is the leader of our DBs? Tag Bradberry if you want to go defensive-line heavy. I don't want us to kill ourselves for SB... But I don't want to see our rivals hang 60 on us in our stadium.

I'm speaking from the point that we had them when we did that pre-2013. Comparing that to when our only legit secondary player is Shaq Thompson is crazy. I like Donte, but he needs 2-3 more years to get his emotions under control.

Drafting defense over and over again is why Cam Newton will be in another jersey next year, yes I'm pissed we continue to neglect other issues for D-line.

It's the line that creates the pressure and helps the coverage. Why waste an early pick on a CB just so our defense can get run over. The secondary will get smoked anyway because the line will get gassed and wont generate sacks. Donte has more talent than Bradberry. Lets give Rhule a chance to see what he can do with them.

So we cut our FS and not re-sign our #CB and spend all our picks on D-Line? I defended the Vernon Butler pick, I'm not defending these 2. Brady, Brees, and Matt Ryan all have the receivers and lines to get the ball out in 2 seconds, the line don't mean poo when the best player in your secondary is Shaq Thompson.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Starting to think you may be trolling.

Eric Reid was our SS and couldn't cover a damn thing.

Boston is our FS, he played well and we re-signed him.

Do your homework.

which of these rookie CB's were you planning to be our #1 corner?

I know you haven't played football, but ask someone that has played cornerback how much easier it is when you have a great D-line.

DL is to secondary as OL is WR.

I understand the frustration. And if we took a luxury pick like Mims I would have thrown my remote at the TV and been right there with you. But DE is still a need and the value was higher than it was for cb with a 1st round talent there for the taking. A great line that can generate pressure also makes a corner's job easier. We should go corner next (Bryce Hall maybe?) if the value is anywhere close and probably sign Cockerill at minimum and it won't look quite as dire. Hell, Logan Ryan is still available. We're not done
