Drew Lock played well enough at the end of the season for the Broncos last year that I think they probably want to see what they have in their young 2nd rounder. I think the Chargers let Tyrod Taylor be Justin Herbert's wet nurse. The Jags, Pats, and Colts make sense though. The Jags haven't been talking like they're sold on Minshew as their guy.

Yep, completely brain farted on that. Teams are likely waiting for after the draft. Not sure they want to cut Trubisky either, just pointing out that while the Jaguars gave Foles a big deal, his deal with Chicago is backup money and they could easily carry Cam (if he’s willing to sign for prove it money) as QB3. Even if they gave Cam the identical amount as Foles, they’d still only have $23M in cap for all 3 QBs. Teddy is cheap at $21M in terms of starters. I wouldn’t balk at signing Cam if I was Chicago and seeing if he’s healthy. A healthy Cam is better than both others and they aren’t paying much at QB now. Might be worth the risk considering that in 2021 they don’t have their future starter yet.

If any playoff caliber team loses their starting QB for more than a game or two, they'd have to seriously consider bringing Cam in for a tryout and physical.  

However, I'm skeptical that there is any team out there right now prepared to sign Cam to a franchise QB contract.

I agree, only thing I would add is the likelyhood that one of those young qbs crash and burn is inevitable, Broncos have had horrible luck with qbs but I like lock last year and thing he will be fine, Herbert however Is def boom or bust, has Blaine 2.0 written on him

The problem with that is Cam has been running the same basic system since college. 
 

He’s not a plug and play QB. A team would have to shift mid season to accommodate him. That’s a tall order.

Cams ego has to be hurt. Pats have no cap space and I doubt Bill would put up with Cams antics and overall personality. No chance the chargers bring him into the fold after Herbert pick.

Hes going to have to be patience. Wait for a injury or another trade or some QB showing up waaay out of shape. The other issue is the other QBs out there, if Cam doesnt like the contract offer.....The team could sign Winston or send a late rounder for Dalton. Flacco, Bortles, and Glennon are options too.... laugh if you will but Id take one of those for 2 million over 30 million Cam.

No team has any confidence in his shoulder. He will need a prove it year in practice.
