Fixing the defense quick

MMA

2nd: Yetur Gross Matos

3rd: James Lynch

If Rhule really wants to fix the defense, that’s how you start. Brady, Brees and Ryan will be running for their lives.

Burns - Brown - Lynch - Yetur

Going to be fun to watch for the next few years.

Plenty of good corners left in the open market. I want Fulton, Diggs, McKinney and Delpit just as bad, but start by building the entire defensive line in a single draft. Quicker this way than trying to patch holes here and there.

I don't want us to get sucked into taking the 7th or 8th best CB prospect on the board when we can take the #1 ranked Safety prospect, and I mean that across all positions.

"are you kidding have you seen how bad our CBs are we have to draft one if we're gonna be good next season"

We're not gonna be good next season, just take the best player, there's a need there

These overvalued 4th wave prospects almost certainly aren't riding to the rescue no matter how overvalued they may have become during the draft process by wannabe draftnik fans

it's not a controversial opinion, just take the best player, again, there's a need there.

I don't trust Jackson against the No. 2s (Ridley, Godwin, Sanders) yet alone No. 1s.

We almost have to grab a free agent CB at this point.

Interior OL, cornerback, another DT, or a MLB in rounds 2 and 3.  (And, personally, the interior OL depth in this draft is poor, so if you don't take one in the 2nd, you might as well wait and take a flyer in the 6th and 7th.)

I don’t trust Jackson too. We need to grab a vet corner for cheap. We’re not going to win much games this upcoming season. We’re not a corner away from having a great defense. So, I have to take Yetur or Epenesa over a corner.

If we want to fill needs, then we have to go CB and OG tonight. If we want to build a great defense for the future, take Yetur/Epenesa and James Lynch/Elliot.

You can't "fix" it this year. There are just too many holes. But that's probably the best way to improve it.

Our LB core is okay. Shaq is not great, but good. Whitehead isn’t bad but not the future. Fix the dline first and everything will fall in place

We will still eventually have to cover an eligible receiver downfield, but we need so many corners that it's almost not worth trying to get them all through the draft. There's also no depth on the line, so we can only fix one. I'm for focusing on the defensive line, but that back seven...woof.

It wouldn’t matter if we go secondary with the next 7 picks. We ain’t stopping Brady, Brees and Ryan. The only way is to put them on their  asses
