The worst part about this pick...

Is that Madden still hasn't figured out how to properly simulate how football is actually played, so the benefit of having Brown when you pop in Madden 21 isn't going to be felt at all. Devastatingly bad draft pick in that regard.

Yup they will double short and single brown and still have a gaping hole to run through. Here's to the new madden being better in the interior dline and atrocious run blocking.

haha I was thinking the same thing. I like the pick and Brown will have a bigger impact.

But man Simmons would have been fun in madden!!

Leave Madden alone and play Front Office Football 8 if you want a good gridiron approximation.

Or wait until the Out of the Park Developments' collaboration with the Front Office Football developer is finished.

Or go back to 2K5 if you want a typical NFL video game. Still better than Madden.

You ain't lying.

Imagine a football game where your play calls include the proper drops for the QB, and on defense you can stunt your line as part of the playcall before you ever get to the pre-snap adjustments. Imagine proper zone coverage. But not in 2020, in 2005.

Arent they suppose to be bringing back that in the next couple years. I think I heard something like that 2K sports is working on a 2k21

They can only bring "arcade" NFL games out from what I understand. Who knows how it will turn out.

I'm not even sure if Visual Concepts has retained the bulk of the talent that developed NFL2K.

I loved how 2K5's player progression system wasn't predictable and linear. It made it more like real life.  Madden has ways gotten that part wrong.

    • The framing continues to be if you disagree with this top 10 play making….its then somehow spun as denying his improvement or hating. if you take Bryce’s career and exclude his last 2 starts……there really is no objective argument that isn’t a bottom tier starter to date. Is yeah, it’s cherry picking, recency bias and his surprising inability improvement driving it into a bit of silliness.  Literally nothing argued here except the top 10 stuff is overkill.   But it’s also the same time of year when folks can get bashed for saying Frank is a bad hire, Fitterer sucks and should be fired with Rhule, Ben McAdoo was a joke hire for a staff that forced into rejects, Rhule doesn’t know what he is doing and clearly exposed when reporters got into camp, the Sam/Baker comp and not picking one is dumb, and on and on.  Lot of frankly conservative takes are spun as wild hate this time of year.
    • Doing a little digging and it looks like PFF didn't penalize him for the XL drop during that Chiefs game.  I also think the moral of the story is most teams aren't chunking it 20 plus yards for completions multiple times every game.  Hit a couple of those and you can be one of the top "deep" ball passers that week.
    • Of course he needs to put together a full season and there is no reason to suggest he won't. His progress last year was great and unless you think he has already reached his ceiling he should continue to get better. That is why folks are excited for the first time in years. Who knows what will happen but to have a qb who finished the year playing excellently and is only going into his 3rd year, you need to be excited. At least until we have reason to think differently.
