Worst Case Scenario

I haven't seen a thread, so I apologise if there is one. Not that I think this happens, but this is my worst case scenario for the draft tonight.

This scenario involves the Dolphins paying a Kings ransom to first Detroit for #3, and then Cinci for #1. Atlanta also moves in front of us with the chargers.

1. MIA(via CIN)  - QB Burrow

2. WAS - DE Young

3. CIN (via MIA via DET) - LB Simmons

4. NYG - OT Wills

5. CIN (via MIA) - CB Okudah

6. ATL (via LAC) - DT Brown

7.....

In this scenario not only do we miss on all of the top positional prospects, but a division rival jumps us for a stud. I really do not want a QB from this draft class, and this scenario leaves us with little option but to trade back in my opinion.

What's your worst case scenario tonight?

Do the Falcons need a DT? Good subject to bring up, just curious. Have to think Rhule takes a hard look at Tua in this case or trades back (if possible).

Grady Jarrett is listed as their best DT, they could definitely use one in my mind. I definitely don't want to see Brown twice a year!

At #7, with the needs we have---there is no worst case scenario unless we spaz and reach for some player.

We could take Tua (nobody knows how good he will be or if he will get unjured--but I get the skepticism), Wirfs--a 3-contract OT, a top WR... I do not see a "gloom and doom" situation.

This isn’t bad at all.

Teams may call up for Tua and if not we have our pick of CJ or Lamb.

Worst case imo is...

We trade back past 10 even if it’s to 11 with NYJ. Atlanta trades up to 10 with Cleveland and takes Henderson and AZ at 8 takes Lamb. Now all of a sudden we’re sitting at 11 with no one left

Then either pick your OLine tackle or take the next best CB.  There is always Kinlaw but #7 is too high.  You have Wirfs or Willis.  They aren't flashy but you have a tackle to play either right or left for next year.  Or you can either pick Henderson or Fulton to replace Bradberry.  It might be a good thing in the long run if it happen.

This is almost the worst case scenario, only thing worse is if we can't move out of #7.  If I had to make a pick here at #7 in this scenario, it would C.J. Henderson.

No way only one QB goes in the first 6 picks.  QBs always go much higher than they should because of the importance of the position and costs.  Getting a good QB on a rookie contract for 5 years is huge for a team.
