QB Herbert Miami (trade)

#7 Carolina Panthers:  I think a team will want to move up for a T, CB, or Tua.  Some will call me crazy, but I would either take Okudah or Tua here. If I trade back, I only move 3 spots at the most. Tua, Okudah, and Simmons---after that, the floor drops considerably.

Man, I hope I do not have to make that decision--but the last time we drafted a CB from Ohio St in the first round, it turned out pretty well.  I still think Simmons is going to be the pick.

 

If Tua, Okuda and Simmons are available, knowing Marty's penchant for taking the slam dunk, I'd think that he'd pick Okudah FTW!

All things considered, it is our biggest need.  I would probably take the CB if I were the GM--to be honest--if my jewels were in the vice.

We are rebuilding, you don't move back into round 1 blowing future draft capital unless for a QB.  None qualify as worthy this draft.  Hence our butts had better stay put in round 2 unless we trade down.

I am just skeptical, in general, of giving up draft capital for anything less than a slam dunk! There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in the Huddle if that happens.

I really disagree with the sentiment that this is a "strong" QB Class. I believe aside from Burrow, all QBs this year are overdrafted and will overwhelmingly be draft busts. This is not the year to draft a QB in my opinion.

You've got two players in one class who are amongst the best prospects in recent memory at the position.

On that extreme rarity alone it's a deep class, individual breakdowns of later prospects aside.
