Wouldn't make much sense to go from 5 to 3 to take a QB they could get at 5.

If nobody trades up ahead of them. Washington could take a QB--or trade out.  Detroit has been trying to trade back, and Nippleshorts will be pimping hard for a john at #4.  New England has a lot of picks and could/will move up.  Technically, there could be 4 gone in the first 6 picks or so if it gets crazy.

If the trade does happen could you the panthers trading up to 4 for okudah before the lions pick him. If in fact they do take a OT chargers take Herbert will the panthers take tua after all they did say they were not looking for a QB in the early part of the draft which mean they actually are looking. If okudah or tua is not there at 7 we trade down is the likely scenario..

Rumor flying earlier, they were moving for a OT.

I don't think the Dolphins traded away perfectly good players for draft picks to simply replace them with more good players.  I heard an analyst say it, and I agree.  You make those trades to get ammo to go get one great player, and in particular a QB, at the top of the draft.  And if you subscribe to that thinking, that makes everything else a smokescreen.

I wish we could see a little 3 team action:

Lions trade- 1.3, 5.20

Lions get- 1.9 (Jags), Yannick

Phins trade- 1.18, 1.26, 2.7

Phins get- 1.3 (Lions)

Jags trade- 1.9, Yannick

Jags get- 1.18 (MIA), 1.26 (MIA), 2.7 (MIA), 5.20 (Det)

And then see something crazy like:

Cin - Burrow

Was - Young

Mia - Wills

Nyg - Wirfs

Mia - Herbert

Lac - Tua

Then we’d have Okudah, Simmons and Brown to choose from

Just got off the phone with Herbert, and he apparently met with Dan Marino.  (Actually, I just saw this on NFL Network).

What does that tell us?  Maybe the fish wanted to see if Marino likes Herbert's leadership qualities--sounds to be like they are fine tuning their pick.

Dolphins will draft Herbert.

The more tackles and QBs that go before us the better. Would really love to trade with Cleveland and get their 10th and 41st for our 7th. At 10, 38 and 41 we could really add 3 great players
