REPORT: per Jourdan Rodrigue, there is a high likelihood Panthers attempt to trade back from #7

You think we take Tua if he’s there at 7?

If we don't then I don't see a plan to make the SB for a loooooooong time. If we pass on Tua then we might be looking at 3 years of spinning our wheels with TB. No thanks. Need a better plan.

I think moving out of the TOP 10 is absolutely a horrible idea based on our drafting track record. Historically Panthers have nailed it with every top 10 pick. Julius Peppers, Jordan Gross, Cam, Luke, CMC. Our guys drafted in top 10 are HOF, fringe HOF, or on their way to HOF if they continue playing at a high level. Outside TOP 10? We've had great players but not the same impact as the guys mentioned. Argument to pick up more draft pics in 2nd-mid rounders, why? So Hurney go draft more busts? I say stay where we are and draft our next cornerstone.

This is one of the better, more satisfying mocks I’ve seen. Would fill a lot of needs.

I do. I’m thinking outside the box here and speculating - but maybe the reason the FO decided to move on from Cam is that he may not have taken a benching for a rookie QB as well as Teddy.

You could be right. If so, I think it will be one of the best kept secrets in Panthers draft memory for me.

If we have interest in Tua, we've done a GREAT job of hiding it. We've been connected to both Herbert and Love, but nothing with Tua that I've seen.

If Simmons or Okudah are available and we trade back, I'll be furious. As a franchise you'll be lucky to get a prospect like that once every 5 years. I'd be fine with sticking at 7 and taking Brown in that scenario but if we can drop to around 12 or 13 and still take at least Kinlaw (if not Brown), that seems like a reasonable option. What I don't want is to drop down to around 23, forego a chance at some of the elite talent for a couple extra 3rd rounders that might never turn into meaningful starters, especially with Hurney's track record in the 3rd.

Ask the Cleveland Browns if they're happy they traded down in 2016. They're comparable to us in drafting, so they know.

That’s a disgrace to Hurney. The browns suck
