REPORT: per Jourdan Rodrigue, there is a high likelihood Panthers attempt to trade back from #7

Wonder is the Jags would trade up two spots to get their CB and we can still land Brown or Simmons

They have plenty of picks, like 12.  Honestly I think think that's why the Panthers have been leaking the want Henderson to make Jax nervous.  They have plenty of ammunition, so it wouldn't be hard.  First thing first, Okudah has to be gone for that plan to be put in action.

With the players they are targeting, it can not further than 11. Someone must have already offered their 1st (form 8-11) and a 3rd. Panthers must be planning on taking that and not getting a better offer. To me that 3rd is not worth missing out on Brown, Simmons, or Okudah.

good point

Can you imagine if these guys just pick Baylor and Temple guys. Jesus they better not.

Yeah, he's going to give this organization the middle finger on his way out the door.

Im about 99% sure the Raiders would pick Lamb if he was at 12, thats why I feel it has to be before them......unless they move up.

One of the biggest issues with trading down a far ways, is the army of people have focused on players at 7. 30th overall is a total different group and less is known about them, so teams are scared to death.

I thought Henderson--first thought.  Lamb is the best WR in the draft.

Offense has the chance to be special if we add a WR like Lamb it Jeudy. So many impact players available, were bound to get a good one

Kinda feel like we are dropping in the teens and the pick will be Kinlaw. Not really a Kinlaw fan but eh......it is what it is.

Ive followed him hard in the last two weeks. Teams have either moved him up or down. Hes on the move, I agree with the notion hes hot right now. Im about 93% sure he will picked in the top ten. Just about any time you 100% draft player ____ at 13, youd also draft the same guy at 7 too. Its a huge risk to hope the player you want/all the "experts" say will be there later, that wait is the worst feeling. All it takes is one team.

I'm not doubting that there's something to this and RR is connected. However, looks like Jourdan answering a Q&A question about trading back with the answer on the probability of it as being - "High". Then, Rappoport (though connected, is often a beat or two behind Schefty and has never struck me as a guarantee source) tweeted a similar theory. It looks on the surface like Rappoport took Rodrique's answer and put it out there.

If we do trade back, I would assume it's for Henderson or Kinlaw or if there's a run on OTs/WRs that allows Brown or Simmons to fall a few slots. Moving from 7, to say 9-10-11 would still allow for them to land one of the above mentioned names.

Honestly, I think you only trade down if A) you get an offer you can't refuse or B) you're not necessarily just targeting one player. If you have "your guy" and he's there, you draft him. With all of our needs and all of the talent available, I'm assuming we'd be part of group B hoping for A.
