Why aren’t we talking about drafting an OT more?

I would say the opposite. I said my piece and I stand by it.

i would rather have Wirfs, Wills or Thomas than Brown.

OT, CB, Simmons,.. and then Brown. I won’t cry about it but he’s last on my list... just above Kinlaw

Yeah no one is changing their minds. Brown, Simmons or CB will be there at 7. This needs to be a defensive draft with maybe an OG in rounds 3-5. I'm not lying when saying on paper, this is the worst defense in modern NFL history. 35 to 40 points a game bad.

There are just so many holes on the team, and the situation is so terrible, that actually OT isn't one of the weaker positions comparatively speaking. Then you have the possibility of Tua being available. OT takes a backseat.

I get that Tua was fantastic in college so much, but how do you guys dismiss his injury history so easily?

I'm not a doctor. I've heard NFL doctors say his hip injury might be a problem at 35, but not 25. Neither of us can evaluate his medical situation.

But what about the rest of his injury history in college? What about him failing a physical with an NFL team?

This year, we cannot check out the players as in the past.  It requires more "third party" information.  So players with suspected injuries are going to drop.  Again, risk tolerance.  Kinlaw could drop, Tua should drop, now there is a Jeudy rumor going around about a hidden knee injury, etc.  It will be interesting to see if they drop.

Nothing is ignored in evaluating him as a prospect. I am willing to take a chance, but what the Panthers scouts and doctors think is another matter. I, as an outsider, have to go by what NFL doctors say on the internet.
