Get it on the record. Who do you think the Panthers are going to pick in the first round? We’ll go back on Thursday night and see who’s right.

***this is not who you want, who do you think our brain trust will pick

I’m 96.7% sure we’re going to trade up to number 4 with the Giants and take Tua Tagovailoa—costing us our 3rd and 4th rounders this year and another mid round pick next year. It’s happening.

I think we take Brown or Simmons if they're there. I'm thinking they won't be.

All bets are off after that, but I honestly hope we field calls if the phone is ringing.

Gotta pick somebody man. Pick one you think is most likely to be there or if neither then say we trade down somewhere and say who we take... don’t need to get the trade details correct but if you get the player right that’s some serious bragging rights.

    • Same... With the personnel the Niners had, that defense could have been historically good in the right hands. Under Wilks they were certainly good, they didn't quite rise to that level. Honestly, I see Wilks kinda like I see Rivera: fantastic person, decent head coach. Skill wise, phenomenal DB coach, so-so DC. His greatest strength is his leadership. Hard to find many better in that department. In the Xs and Os / execution area though, not as good. Bottom Line: Wilks is the sort of coach that needs a staff that excels in those aspects of the game where he's weaker. But, like Rivera, I don't know that he scouts assistants very well. That as much as anything might be why he's not in the NFL now.
    • Clearly the best outcome for us is a Giants W. A spot or two difference in the 4th round is inconsequential. Just look at the trade value charts. A spot or two at the top of the 1st means a LOT. A spot or two in the mid-rounds? Virtually nothing.
    • Agree. I don't think I have ever heard him say anything positive, at any time, about the Panthers. Best expectation is no mention at all.
