After more than three hours of debate Monday night, York County Council narrowly voted to approve its end of a package that clears the way for the NFL team to move its headquarters and practice facilities from Charlotte to an undeveloped site off I-77 between Cherry Road and Dave Lyle Boulevard.

What did I miss?

Gantt isn't exactly the world's biggest fan of taxpayer money going to things that are owned by guys like David Tepper.

To be perfectly honest, he doesn't really seem to be all that big a fan of David Tepper in general.

Taxpayer money should not be going to buildings owned by billionaires. And then those same tax payers get charged to go see a game inside that same building. And did I forget to mention that a drink will probably cost $5-10

Ah, ok, I see what happened there.  The reason everyone is pissed is because Tepper didn't just buy the land for the facility.  He bought all the land around it as well, and then got that land included in the tax breaks.  Basically, he can now develop or sell that land and it's at a competitive advantage over any other area in the county.

This is also now Teppers leverage when he wants to build a new stadium.  He "could" now build it in York county.  Sure, I think it's a mistake and he'll learn what the Knights learned.  The question is will the city and county leaders have the balls to call his bluff when he tries to use it.
