Do you take Tua if he is there? Okudah over Simmons?

I could not decide if this has been seriously considered and properly debated lately, so I thought I would risk my rep and throw it out there--I know it has been mentioned a lot  But we have written volumes on the scenario we all feel is the most likely--and the assessment is based on needs for 2020 in most cases.  It is easy/lazy to label Tua "fragile" and dismiss him.  Maybe there is something to that.  Maybe, however, he simply had some bad luck, common to most athletes at some point.

In a mock draft on  NFL network, it went like this:

1, QB Burrow, Cin

2. DE Young Wash

3. DT Brown, Det

4. OT Wirfs, NYG

5. OT Becton, Miami

STOP.

What do you think the Panther's board would look like after 5 picks if this happened?

Tua, Herbert, Okudah, and Simmons are all still in play with only 1 pick to go.

Do you think a 3-year contract with Bridgewater is the long-term answer at QB?  He could be the QB for the next 10 years--or he could be a stopgap. Could Tua be there at #7 and if so, how does any team in our situation NOT take a potential franchise QB?  Tua would sell tickets--bring a celebrity face back to Charlotte.  Fragile? In Brady's system with a few OL in 2021, is he worth the risk? The kid is accurate, has great vision, excellent pocket presence, etc.  Are you willing to pass him up because you think he might get hurt?  A franchise QB?

6. QB Tua Tcccmcdhdheopw#  The Chargers took Tua, so it is no longer an issue.

Steve Smith had the 7th pick and he took Simmons, leaving Okudah on the board--the Cardinals swooped in and took Okudah.  So if Okudah and Simmons are on the board, who ya got?

I take Okudah and it is not that close. We need an elite CB to keep Jackson away from the #1 WRs.

BOILS down to one basic question:

Who would you draft if Tua, Herbert, Okudah, and Simmons were on the board?

The stock is changing--Love could move int to the mix as early as #6 .  Opnions and scenarios change.  Where are you right now?

If Okuda falls to our pick there should be no debate. We'd be getting a top-3 talent at our biggest position of need.

Tua... pass. Fact is, if he falls it'll be because of some fairly major injury concerns. Don't want any part of that.

Simmons... I'd honestly take Brown or Wills or Jeudy or even Andrew Thomas over him. He's an OLB; as good as he may be, the positional value just isn't there at #7 overall. Sure he's versatile, but you can only play one position at a time.

You have to take Tua. QB is the most important position. If he’s gone, it’s Okudah then Simmons. Just because we desperately need a CB.

Yes,

QB is the most important position in football.  And if your in position to draft a top one.  You take him.

What, we dont and try to put our eggs in the basket for Lawerence or Fields.  I hate to break it to yoi.  This team will be bad but Far from top 2 draft position lock next year.

You take Tua, sit him.  Remember, Bridgwater and Brady have history together.  Play him up under Brady and trade him next year.  The Bills got a 3rd for Tyrod Taylor.  We should get that if not more.

And heck say we do get the 2nd overall pick next year.  With Tua already in fold, you auction that pick off.  You build around Tua with all that ammo.

Lets not forget another thing.  One comp for Tua that he's been getting a lot, is Bree's.  Who just so happens to fit Brady's offense like a glove.
