I'm not talkin with a stopwatch, even on tape he doesn't show the same explosiveness as Suh, he is more of a pure power guy.

Don't get me wrong, he is going to be a really good player for a really long time in the league.  He might be the safest pick in the top 10 with the highest floor.

I'm just not convinced he is going to influence games as much as Okuda or Simmons.

Without a DL, Simmons nor Okudah are going to do much. Luke is probably the best LB I've ever seen and he didn't matter last year. Neither did Bobby Wagner. If the over/under on Simmons is Luke or Wagner, I'd take the under and feel pretty good about it.

Brown doesn't has crazy athleticism, that's why I don't' get the Suh comparisons.

He's bigger then Suh and imo is stronger. Suh is a 3 tech that can play 1 tech and probably 5 tech. Brown is a 1 tech that can play 3 tech well and probably play 5 tech. Imo Brown will be better then Suh.

Suh did 32 reps of 225 at the combine to browns 26... again suh was a generational prospect with rare tools... Brown had a historically bad combine.  Like he isn't a great athlete... he's a pure bull rusher.. you are better off setting your expectations at Star than any one you have mentioned.

When you absolutely have no idea what you’re talking about

Yep Simmons or Brown will be it.

And id rather have Wirfs or Wills. Getting one of those and trading down would be fuging awesome. But don’t think Hurney can handle that

It'll definitely sting if we continue to struggle at LT and this OT class lives up to their billing.

For his size, he absolutely does.

not really

What metric are you actually using to say that?

Vernon Butler tested better than Brown.

From a testing standpoint his numbers were poor even when you consider his size.

Size needs to be factored in with Brown's workout. Among defensive linemen at the combine over the past two decades, his height (6-feet-5) and weight (324 pounds) placed in the 84th and 94th percentile, respectively.

However, all of his measured, on-field work was historically bad. His 8.22 3-cone placed in the third -- yes, third -- percentile among defensive tackles. His vertical? 22nd percentile at the position. His broad jump was a respectable but far from super-impressive 66th percentile. His short shuttle time of 4.79 -- 18th percentile. Ndamukong Suh -- a trendy comparison for the Auburn star -- was light years more athletic than Brown when he tested at the combine in 2010.

brown had a historrically bad combine.. he is not some super athlete.

Me too.  Simmons--I get it.  Brown?  Not so much.  But a Tackle for 12 years---that is how you build over the long term

I am not sure that we do not do that.

Your right, I only mentioned Suh because thats who others compared him too, I would also compare him to star. But I think he's gonna be far better then Star and make more of an impact for a team then Suh. So let me rephrase, him a Suh are completely different but I think Brown will be just if, if not more impactful snap by snap then Suh. Combines don't always tell the whole story. They are both versitile players playing different positions there is a reason scouts are very high on brown just watch him change a defense by taking on doubles and the occasional triple freeing up everyone else to do work. That also meand less time the secondary has to cover.
