We were talking local products earlier.  Any news on Julian Okwara linked to the Panthers?  Uche and Okwara are basically the same type of guy except Okwara is slightly heavier and could easily pack on another 10-15 pound to be a 4-3 end.

I think Uche's pass rushing ceiling is much higher.

I have to disagree on this guy.  Really low on him.  He got abused and totally dominated by Wirfs, and I mean it was ugly.

You appear to be his agent but I assume you mean 4th or later cuz he doesn't have a position at that size and is strictly a blitzer who had trouble getting on the field for Michigan.  Pass.

Other players we like at defensive end:
Jon Greenard
Alton Robinson
Curtis Weaver
Marlon Davidson
Kenny Willekes

Better chance of getting a DT or DE in the third round in your opinion?

I like Brown and Kinlaw a lot but I feel a lot better about there being a quality DT in the third then I do DE or CB.  I like Robertson a lot, but he might sneak into the back of round 2.

What are your thoughts about where the drop offs in talent are for DT, CB, and DE?

I don’t think he have the luxury to draft Uche in the 2nd round. We have too many holes to take a tweener that high. We have a similar player in Christian Miller to fill the same spot we would use Uche at.

I’m not very impressed with this DE class. The only one I like is Greenard in the 3rd. Weaver lacks explosion despite his stats. Very good hand usage but I doubt he has the closing speed in the NFL. Willekes is a pure effort guy. That will only get him so far. Robinson has the athleticism to work with. As does Darrell Taylor. Both come with off the field issues. I’m intrigued with someone like Jonathan Garvin in the 5th. Has loads of potential but seems uninterested at times. I feel like that’s a player Rhule and Snow can motivate and mold to their liking.

Some steam about Derrick Brown as a possibility for the Lions at 3

SI's Albert Breer reports the Lions' coaching staff has "taken a real liking to" Auburn DT Derrick Brown.

Most mock drafts have the Lions taking Ohio State CB Jeffrey Okudah at No. 3 overall, and Breer does as well, but it's no secret Detroit would love to move back a few spots. If they stick at No. 3, the Lions will have a decision to make. Brown is clearly the No. 1 interior defensive lineman in this draft and stands a mountainous 6'5/326 with the ability to play in a 4-3 or 3-4 front. The Lions were destroyed in the trenches last year. Pairing Brown with NT Danny Shelton would help there. The Lions are fully expected to go defense with this pick.
