Good thing we have marty picking and not the huddle.

You mean essentially taking a Rover at #7 isn't a smart pick?  Actually, I think Simmons is exactly who we pick if he's left.  He's got Hurney written all over him.

Simmons is wasted on this team.  We need to build through the lines first, imo.

Yeah, Hurney loves drafting LBs in the 1st and he's never taken a DT in the 1st.

It wouldn't surprise me, especially since Rhule will likely be pounding the table for Lynch as early as #38.

I think Hurney takes Simmons as a do-over for the Gaulden debacle as the big nickel.

Time for some unrequested or needed criticism:  So far--through nine picks--it has gone as we expected.  I would say that the Chargers trade (Kyber) with the Giants is a bit controversial, based on the latest rumors (that Dolphins wanted Herbert).  Of course, you could argue that if another team that needed a QB (like New England) decided to move up, then it could have been wise.  This year's early third has some second round talent in it.  I see the move, it was bold.

It was a good trade for the Giants--they get their man and an early third.  Who am I, you ask?  Just a guy who did not participate in this thing but feels qualified to make criticisms as it progresses.
