Kinlaw’s final collegiate defensive line coach will be John Scott Jr., who was hired to coach Gamecocks defensive tackles back in January. The two were unable to share the field in the spring as Kinlaw was recovering from labrum surgery on his hip, an injury that forced him to sit for the Belk Bowl after battling through the 2018 season at less than 100 percent.

“Shoot, honestly I’ve been playing with the hip for a long time,” Kinlaw said. “That’s just me, who I am. I don’t want to quit. I always want to be on the field. I’m not going to tell you when (it started hurting). It’s been a long time.”

I really do think that Miami will draft Herbert. Rumors these days aren’t like in the old days. People can’t keep their mouths shut anymore.

I heard that too.  Stafford is only 32 (thought he was pushing 40-seems he has been there for a long time)

I am guessing that they are the most obvious trading partner, if Young is gone.  As long as Young is available, any GM with an Edge need would be a fool to trade down and leave him behind.  I think he is this generation's Peppers.   So if Young goes to the Skins, the Lions can get Okudah at 5 or 6. They are putting this out there because some teams will be calling the Giants if they thing the Lions are going Okudah.

you know, Scot, I almost think that we (as Panther fans) are focusing on the wrong end of the draft--they are really working the expected undrafted free agents--and that is basically how Rhule succeeded at Temple and Baylor.  I have been researching their contact list, and their are some talented athletes in there--some are small school sleepers, some have a history of injuries, and others may be unloved because they were played out of position.

I think it is nearly impossible----UNLESS (to add to your conspiracy theory)---the Bengals wanted Bridgewater but did not want to tip their hands in the draft to give them flexibility---Sorta like when the Panthers drafted Kobe Bryant so that we could trade him to LA for Vlade Divac, a heavy-footed 7 footer that did not speak much English but smoked 2-3 packs a day. (I heard that about him).

If Detroit can make Miami THINK they are drafting a QB, it could prompt Miami (or LAC) to trade up to #3 and the Lions would still get their guy (Okudah).  Now you could argue, if that is the case, and I can figure it out....

This is also the time of week when we learn that some star failed the combine drug test or another prospect gets in a fight at a club with 2 disabled women and their seeing-eye dog.

How far does Tua "fall?"  I do not see much of a drop. 

And I get the Herbert pick.  The bad thing about staying in Oregon for his SR year, it gave people the opportunity to pick him apart.  He has the skills and the gifts.  Teams have coaches.  Accuracy can be the fault of mechanics, WR routes, etc.
