But you do actually have to field *a* defense. If you provide zero resistance to your opponent, it makes little difference what you can do on the other side of the ball.

Balance, to some degree, still matters.

Clausen starting got us #1 and Cam. Weinke starting got us #2 and Peppers. Starting Grier would get us Lawrence or Fields, guaranteed.
