Prediction- The panthers will fail to sign a GM in waiting after the draft

     I don’t see Hurney as the issue anymore. Ruhle is running everything and has final cut. That much is obvious. And it’s more than likely why no one worth a damn wants the job. Because Ruhle and Tepper are running the show and won’t give anyone final roster say. 
 

   They’ll sign him to an extension. Then when the team starts losing, they will fire him and blame him for all the bad decisions. Which is insulting if they think anyone believes Hurney is running the show. It’s why it’s an assistant GM search. Real ones won’t touch this situation. 
 

   Tepper has all the information in front of him and chose to keep a GM who hasnt had a winning season in his last 6 with a 35-61 record. This ain’t on Marty anymore. Even if he was calling the shots, it’s 100% on Tepper.

Rhule has confirmed that Hurney is running the show.  Now whether you believe him or not is up to you.

If we have to wait till next season to hire him as a full power GM, I'm okay with that.
