8-8.

Bias is to the upside.

Rhule's Rules Rule.

2 wins during his first season at Temple, 1 win during his first season at Baylor. We can say those programs were in shambles needing full rebuilds, but I'd say the same about the current Panthers.

If this team drafts Simmons or brown that will be the outcome where we win 4 games all at the end and miss out on fields and Lawrence but if we take a play maker and fill in the gaps on defense we will be solid , we don’t need the best defense now days we need the best offense and a defense that can get turnovers , offense wins look at kc , I believe we are following their foot steps , bridge water is our Alex smith and we will draft a future qb next year but this team needs to focus on offense  . The closest way we get back to the play offs is offense people

To make the list even longer, we've also lost Addison, Love, Elliot, Gaulden, Jones, Smith (Andre). That's a total of 15 players. We had 28 defensive players on the 2019 roster including the practice squad. Which leaves us with 13 players on our defense now. That is both scary and sad.

Andre Smith is still on the roster form what I know and hes my favorite sleeper on defensive currently. I see Jones and Gaulden as positives being gone(in defense terms). The other three- Addison, Love, and Elliot I missed and the team will miss too. It is VERY scary that the worst defense LOST  nearly all its good players, leadership, and stats. Boston(ugh...), Shaq, KK, and Burns thats all. The others are either unproven, XFL talent level, or misfit for Snows 4-3 D.

Sorry about counting Smith. The number we're left with from last year is 14. And I was simply counting bodies lol, not considering talent, although I agree with your assessment. We've added Weatherly (DE), Burris (S), Whitehead (LB), Kerr (DT) which brings the number of bodies to 18 and this includes any practice squad players we signed to a contract in January.

So just counting bodies we're about 10 short with 8 draft picks in hand. The class of undrafted FA's this year is supposed to be deep but it's very rare to hit on a gem like Hoover or Norwell. I'm afraid this will lead to Hurney picking for position need and not BPA. And it will all leave our defense (and special teams) for years without the talent a good NFL defense needs to win.

Not that it'll matter much, but we're lucky to be getting KC early in the season when there's a chance of some rust.  Regardless, they'll raw dog us into oblivion.

I may be Homer Simpsoning this thing.  KC became my honorary #2 team about halfway into Pat Mahomes MVP season.  Total bandwagon/man crush situation, but whatever.

What does "solid" mean?

This is a 4 win team

Maybe... too many variables to consider before the draft. Even if they are, I think they will be more enjoyable to watch than last year. Then we get our franchise QB in the next draft which should be loaded with them. Just sit back and enjoy the show.
