And Marty thinks we’ll compete? WTF did we waste $21M a year on Teddy and lose a 3rd comp for Bradberry? Just start Grier and guarantee Lawrence and be done with it and get the rebuild underway. We are favored in 1 game at home against the team who has the 3rd pick in the draft. Sure screams competitive and Teddy is being considered in these odds.

We could have had 4 comp picks (3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th) and saved almost $90M in cap space by dumping Short and not signing Teddy and Anderson for 2020 and 2021. It’ll be fun limping through the next two years wasting 4 comp picks, $90M and coming out of it 11-21 no closer to a franchise QB.

Id honestly preferred just adding Walker and let a true QB competition happen between grier, allen and walker. (hell Id preferred to keep Cam one simple year too, but.... Ill get labeled as hating everything)  Again with turner adding Okung, why??? Id kept turner and if I had to move him, get picks. If like Cam no bites, just a simple wave with no adding 13 million to the cap space. Just move after move that makes no sense. Just new eyes, new thoughts, new coaches, and systems. Whatever it is they are doing/trying is madding. Id go HARD in 2021 once that 50 in dead space is over and Id have either the 1st or 2nd pick in each round, along with all those comps.

Rhule called this teams offense its "fastball", that is the fourth best offense in the division. Same for the defensive, that has a great chance at being worse than the 1995, 2001, 2019 seasons. I feel bad for Snow and crew on defensive, its was god awful in 2019 and they lost Luke, Bradberry, Mccoy, Irvin, Poe,  Reid, Bulter, Horton, and so far Ross Cockrell. Lord help us.

This screams of a 5-11 season.

This is what I'm scared of. This teams absolute best ceiling is 7-8 wins I would think. Don't sign Teddy, we're capped at 2 or so with Grier and this defense.  Now, let's go 4-12 or 5-11, and then hoping a team picking 1 or 2 will let us trade the farm to move up in the draft. Which is fine and dandy....if we do well in this draft before we trade and deplete our resources for the next 2 years.

I swear it's like Tepper told us the rebuild was coming, and right as we mentally prepare for it he bitches out and says wellllll let's be mediocre, the thing he preached against. I mean if the ability to sign Teddy Bridgewater altered the entire plan for this team like it seems to of...yikes.

We all have our favorites to be drafted next week and they (if you are in the majority) are predicated on the needs of 2020.

How silly is that, considering the following:

1. We may not have a season in 2020, and if we do, it could be abbreviated.  That means, training camps and OTAs---with a young roster populated by 20 or so Undrafted free agents, we are not winning 2020.  We should build.

2.  We need to evaluate the QB position without a bunch of OL that look like Walmart greeters on black Friday.

3.  In 10 years, and you look back on this draft, the team will look like idiots for not taking a WR or OT.   Reason?  Those will be the stars from this draft and in 10 years, your needs in 2020 will have been long forgotten.  Needs are very temporary and everchanging.  However, if you understand the talent of the draft, where and when it is a good value, you take it.

.      For example, we drafted Beason when we had Morgan.  At the time, nobody felt that was a good need pick.

I think the pick is going to be Simmons.  I think we should take an OT in round 1----unless they still feel that Little is the guy.  If they do not, and they do not take a T, they will regret it for a decade---from the unemployment line.

To make the list even longer, we've also lost Addison, Love, Elliot, Gaulden, Jones, Smith (Andre). That's a total of 15 players. We had 28 defensive players on the 2019 roster including the practice squad. Which leaves us with 13 players on our defense now. That is both scary and sad.

We will not beat the skins in DC...mark it down

I think we WILL beat the Skins -- mark THAT down.

Let's keep in mind that every year, "experts" (with few exceptions, e.g. Brady going to TB) are way off on preseason win predictions, basing them solely on the most recent year's records.
