I have thought for some time that there would be no 2020 season. Now I'm wondering if there will even be a 2021 season. A lot will be riding on how well the vaccines set to be released in about 12-18 months do to preventing the illness. Even if the vaccines do well, I think we have seen the end of stadium gatherings. Life as we knew it is over.

Nope. Over and over and over again throughout human history people have thought that life as we knew it is over. We've always adapted and overcome. We'll do it again.

This current pandemic is definitely a serious matter and life is gonna be very different for a little while, but it's child's play compared to what humanity has had to overcome throughout history.

Yep, life didn't go into a proverbial bubble after the Spanish Flu.  Needless to note the medical advancements over the past 100 years.  The primitive science of dealing with that pandemic caused it to last a couple of years, but eventually life went 100% back to normal.

Think of how rough life was for people born around the turn of the last century.  

-World War I

-Spanish flu pandemic

-Great Depression

-World War II

All this inside of a 30-year span.  Kind of puts things into perspective.  Being stuck inside our modern homes with TV, music and internet isn't such a terrible thing after all.

Based on what precedent? I can produce a nearly endless list of precedents that suggests the opposite is most likely.
