It’s looking more likely that NFL season will be cancelled.

That is what it is going to take. Test the participants. The positive cases sit out. Everyone else plays. Move things forward. Fans in the stands or not, we need sports to help with morale. I am looking forward to seeing NASCAR and even golf. Wow...never thought I would say that.

I love to play golf, but I'll admit that I'm a super casual golf viewer. I pretty much only tune in for the back nine on Sunday if interesting names are in contention. And by interesting names I pretty much mean Rickie Fowler.

I don't normally watch either, but I am feigning for any live sports I can get right now. lol Heck, the kids and I have even been watching the fake wrestling some lately. Now, THAT is getting desperate!

Yeah, I'm not gonna stoop THAT low.  LOL!

The ongoing pandemic has created plenty of confusion, as science has mixed with politics and as news has been filtered and slanted by media outlets and personalities more concerned about pandering to political viewpoints (on both sides) than the truth. Within the NFL, there’s little or no confusion: Football season will happen.

“Fauci, the director of the National Institutes for Health since 1984, interrupted. “You got a problem there,” he said. “You know why? Because it is likely that if four of them are positive and they’ve been hanging around together, that the other ones that are negative are really positive. So I mean, if you have one outlier [only one player testing positive], I think you might get away. But once you wind up having a situation where it looks like it’s spread within a team, you got a real problem. You gotta shut it down.”

Shut it down. Quarantine the team, he means. For 14 days. The next two games for that team? Cancelled or postponed. That could be life in the NFL in 2020.

“Also,” I said, “I take it that teams have to be willing to say, If Patrick Mahomes tests positive on a Saturday night, he’s got to disappear for two weeks.

“Absolutely, absolutely,” Fauci said. “It would be malpractice in medicine to put him on the field, absolutely.””

Rmember chicken pox parties? When one kid had it all the kids in the neighborhood would hang around them so they could get it. They could have a coronavirus party for all nfl players and let them build an immunity for it

"A Carlisle-area resident recently treated for coronavirus-like symptoms admitted attending a “corona party” — with a confirmed coronavirus patient — days after Gov. Tom Wolf ordered Pennsylvanians to stay at home to stop its spread. "

    • Well unfortunately nothing to us. But he has been giving to the rest of the league. He's been so bad he was getting opposing defenders all kinds of accolades and salary increases. Now though he's taking back. You can't lose to a Bryce Young led offense and not expect swift ramifications ya know?
    • Full disclosure I responded to this before fully reading the whole post. As if I had, I’d have laughed at you saying you haven’t seen a full route tree from him, as that’s EXACTLY what he has in his bag.  That right there just shows you haven’t watched him at all outside of the downfield highlight reel plays.  He already runs a full NFL level route tree, at all 3 levels.  As I’ve said numerous times before, XL is the big bodied possession guy, while T-Mac would be the true outside #1 who can do it all and a perfect compliment to XL.   Want to draft someone else all you want, that’s totally fair.  But don’t try and say he’s just a big bodied WR who lacks quickness and can’t run a full route tree, as it’s just the furthest thing from the truth.     And it’s okay, after you watch some more clips, you can admit that you were wrong and I’m not showing my own bias towards him.  It’s not like I’m advocating for someone who should be a late 1st rounder or even a mid 1st round pick, this is someone who’s been mocked as high as #2 by a lot of experts lately. The kid is a stud and he has every tool in his bag that you’d want an outside #1 to have.
    • My perfect offseason at QB would be trade Bryce, sign Lock (experience with Canales) and draft Ewers in the second or late in the first
