It’s looking more likely that NFL season will be cancelled.

In case anyone is interested, if games are missed or attendance policy modified causing PSL owners to not be able to  use tickets for said game, credit towards future games will be issued or a refund can be requested.  Per an email from the PSL office.

Something to note… If games are played at a reduced capacity only PSL owners will be eligible for the available ticket lottery if they leave their money in And don’t get a refund

Edit: Single game and group ticket purchasers will not be eligible and will be automatically refunded

I'd rather watch the games at home this year anyway.  It has nothing to do with the virus, I don't want to drive 5 hours round trip for a bunch of losses and an occasion victory.

The UFC has an event scheduled in Florida tomorrow. One of the fighters on the card tested positive for COVID today. We'll see if the event ends up taking place or not. There's a LOT more people involved in an NFL football game than a UFC fight card.

The acceptance of it in May and September will be two separate things. I see the October 15th opening day being more likely then no fans. If it's August and we are not in the end stages of a vaccine being made, the opinions of politicians who's stocks are plummeting will change. Coronavirus is now apart of our lives... There are flu shots, why is there still flu?

I don't buy the BS this virus doesn't mutate, it was just March 1st the CDC tried to tell us not to wear masks, it wouldn't help... Now it comes out that there is around a 5% chance of transmission if a carrier and a non carrier are wearing facemasks and come within 6 feet of each other.

The vaccine isn't the only thing that takes 12-18 months, wait until we find out that people have had it since November, the Drs don't know crap either. It takes a year of tests to even scientifically prove something, they didn't even take this seriously until Feb.

I can’t see the season being canceled unfortunately too much money involved for too many people to lose out on. For me we should’ve been more prepared as a country and done a legit lock down for up to a month to try to seclude it more then slowly open back up. How things have been handled so far has been abysmal. There’s no reason we should have the highest death rate and contraction rate when our population is significantly lower than a few other countries that had it prior to us.

Oh, so you believe China and Indias reports that they have a combined 140k cases. Mean while were well over a million. Keep watching that news brother.

I don’t watch any news. If its reported I take it with a grain of salt. If they are manipulating numbers to see better off than us, then why wouldn’t we? Especially with our douche nature of always trying to be the best at something. Come on “brother”.

We are inflating our numbers to be the "best".

I have been pondering this for awhile. It may sound stupid, but it has been in my head. China.. for the longest time, is know to wear mask. They have been wearing mask for as long as I can remember. Now, we are here, wearing mask to stop the spread of Coronavirus. So, if they were wearing mask, before the Virus, and it hit them pretty bad. How will these mask protect us?

They've been wearing masks for years due to poor air quality.  Despite masks, if the general public has poor hygiene then it doesn't matter.  Americans typically have better sanitation practices than many other countries.

FYI, the UFC event went ahead. It was an awesome night of fights. Hopefully no other participants test positive down the road. Another even coming up Wednesday night.

That is what it is going to take. Test the participants. The positive cases sit out. Everyone else plays. Move things forward. Fans in the stands or not, we need sports to help with morale. I am looking forward to seeing NASCAR and even golf. Wow...never thought I would say that.

    • Well unfortunately nothing to us. But he has been giving to the rest of the league. He's been so bad he was getting opposing defenders all kinds of accolades and salary increases. Now though he's taking back. You can't lose to a Bryce Young led offense and not expect swift ramifications ya know?
    • Full disclosure I responded to this before fully reading the whole post. As if I had, I’d have laughed at you saying you haven’t seen a full route tree from him, as that’s EXACTLY what he has in his bag.  That right there just shows you haven’t watched him at all outside of the downfield highlight reel plays.  He already runs a full NFL level route tree, at all 3 levels.  As I’ve said numerous times before, XL is the big bodied possession guy, while T-Mac would be the true outside #1 who can do it all and a perfect compliment to XL.   Want to draft someone else all you want, that’s totally fair.  But don’t try and say he’s just a big bodied WR who lacks quickness and can’t run a full route tree, as it’s just the furthest thing from the truth.
    • My perfect offseason at QB would be trade Bryce, sign Lock (experience with Canales) and draft Ewers in the second or late in the first
