It’s looking more likely that NFL season will be cancelled.

He needs to at this point. A vaccine won’t be ready for 18 months, either A. Shut it all down for 18 months or B. Re open business as usual. Half measures rarely if ever work

Option A is NOT an option.  We will literally have tens of millions dead from starvation and disease... all those other diseases that everyone seems to have forgotten about, that is.

I just hope that the season isn’t cancelled. I don’t care if fans are not allowed to the games. Not that I don’t care about the health of the players but it would be difficult for next year’s draft. I don’t want to see a draft lottery where we’re picking in the late 20s and the Patriots get Trevor Lawrence.

They haven’t done it yet. Isn’t nascar only going to race at like two different tracks?

Also, Nascar racers are in cars, social distancing is easy. NFL players are tackling each other and constantly breathing on each other.

You have to get gatherings of 100+ back before you can even mutter football at all. They're already encouraging colleges returning in August, so that is a big sign.

If 20,000-50,000 kids can be on one college campus, the Carolina Panthers can play football.

I’ve said this earlier, but I think college sports are in serious danger this fall. Pros? Different animal. It’s still to early to tell what’s going to happen but if I was a PSL owner I’d probably be looking to get my money back.

I am a PSL owner and contacted the ticket office last Wednesday.  They go back to me on Friday which was the day payment for tickets are due.  If you have not paid for your tickets yet you can call them and they will give you an extension until June 1st which is what I did.

They also said that if the season is cancelled you can either leave it in your account or call and they will send you a check.  Also will refund or issue credit for any individual games cancelled such as the pre-season.

Hope this helps.

I can’t see the season being canceled unfortunately too much money involved for too many people to lose out on. For me we should’ve been more prepared as a country and done a legit lock down for up to a month to try to seclude it more then slowly open back up. How things have been handled so far has been abysmal. There’s no reason we should have the highest death rate and contraction rate when our population is significantly lower than a few other countries that had it prior to us.

If Nascar can race in front of no fans, the NFL can and will do the same.

NFL may end up playing in front of mostly empty situations, but they are different situations I think.  The roar of the crowd, homefield advantage, etc... doesn't mean much in Nascar.  Drivers can't hear the crowd anyway.

The League office sent out a memo on a path to get team facilities reopened.  It's fairly detailed and is only the initial phase, mainly staff at this juncture, and no players yet unless rehabbing.

NFL Plans to Reopen Team Facilities

It looks very possible that we may go into this season with minimal or possibly no on-field preparation. That bodes really, REALLY poorly for a team like us with an entirely new coaching staff that will also lean heavily on the play of rookies.

It might also explain why we were so desperate to get Teddy Bridgewater so that we at least have a QB familiar with our offense.

In case anyone is interested, if games are missed or attendance policy modified causing PSL owners to not be able to  use tickets for said game, credit towards future games will be issued or a refund can be requested.  Per an email from the PSL office.

    • Might as well declare this front office regime dead if that's the case.  There is no reason that should happen.
    • Well unfortunately nothing to us. But he has been giving to the rest of the league. He's been so bad he was getting opposing defenders all kinds of accolades and salary increases. Now though he's taking back. You can't lose to a Bryce Young led offense and not expect swift ramifications ya know?
    • Full disclosure I responded to this before fully reading the whole post. As if I had, I’d have laughed at you saying you haven’t seen a full route tree from him, as that’s EXACTLY what he has in his bag.  That right there just shows you haven’t watched him at all outside of the downfield highlight reel plays.  He already runs a full NFL level route tree, at all 3 levels.  As I’ve said numerous times before, XL is the big bodied possession guy, while T-Mac would be the true outside #1 who can do it all and a perfect compliment to XL.   Want to draft someone else all you want, that’s totally fair.  But don’t try and say he’s just a big bodied WR who lacks quickness and can’t run a full route tree, as it’s just the furthest thing from the truth.     And it’s okay, after you watch some more clips, you can admit that you were wrong and I’m not showing my own bias towards him.  It’s not like I’m advocating for someone who should be a late 1st rounder or even a mid 1st round pick, this is someone who’s been mocked as high as #2 by a lot of experts lately. The kid is a stud and he has every tool in his bag that you’d want an outside #1 to have.
