Hypothetical: Panthers Trade Back

If we trade back I'd prefer more picks in the future to more picks now. Next year's looking like a bit of a waste, it's better to stock up for a time when our cap situation improves and our coaching staff has been able to build up their system and culture.

This is a pretty deep draft, might want to take advantage of it

Not a chance they give up another first to move 5 spots.  We'd have to fork over a mid rounder if that happens IMO.  

If Herbert is available at 7 though, they may be calling.

Sure. Every trade offer depends on the price, though, and you can usually get more value by taking advantage of teams that are in a hurry to win now. Plus, if it's a deep draft, other teams might be a little more hesitant to move those picks. It all depends on the offers.
