CMC signs extension

Nothing like coming back for a random huddle walk to find this today!  Actually, it's why I decided to show up today lol.

I agree that you don't give RBs record setting deals.  But CMC is not just a RB, he does a LOT MORE.  Look if it was a matter of paying a guy who only runs for 1300/6TDs a year, then you let him walk.  Those are much easier and cheaper to find.  But what CMC does is not just run for that much.  He's also catching 100 passes a year, totaling 39 TDs in three seasons, and improving each year.  He'll be 28 at the end of the contract, and if the contract is frontloaded, then we have even more flexibility later in his career.

So you don't give every RB this kind of money, but CMC is MUCH more than that.  We had a horrific failure of defense last season with some bad QB play in the second half of the year.  I think he's a rare talent who is already well respected and deadly in the NFL.  I'm excited to see what happens with the offense next year.

But some of y'all will poo on him no matter what.  In this time of uncertainty, why not just enjoy the moment, just a bit!  Let's see what happens when the season starts.

Jesus H Christ. Some of you just allow yourselves to be happy for like 5 minutes. I’m not going to get pissed because Carolina signed a generational player to a long-term deal. Get the fug outta here. He’s worth it. And if any of you don’t agree, you’re delusional.

It's simple, if you draft a RB in the 1st round you have the 5th year option and the franchise tag for year 6, then you let them walk. I don't care who it is. HOF RBs average 7 years of high production and 10 year careers. There is zero reason to ever extend them like this. Hurney is a fuging moron who parties like its 1999

No way CMC doesn't sit out with everything we ask him to do. He also is a rare RB that is able to not only be a top 5 runner, but a top 5 WR.

He honestly is in a class of his own with his running and receiving ability. I think the only comparison could be Marshall Faulk, who had elite talent all around him on offense during his best years (which CMC absolutely has not had so far)

Its not a question if he is worth it its an argument that this is unnecessary as he is under contract for 2 more years

You compare Austin Ekeler to CMC...Austin Eckeler. Just let that sink in.

Look up their stats from last season and get back to me. Remember he shared touches with Gordon.

I love CMC and am glad he is a Panther but we overpaid.
