As an aside, this ends one of the dumbest narratives currently being pushed by some folks on the huddle.

That being "Hey, we've got one of the best players in the league! Let's trade him!:eyeroll:

It wasn't crazy if the idea was to load up on draft assets and start from the bottom up. That went out the window pretty quickly with their decision to be a terrible team and also try to be competitive.

It is obviously devalued but you can't claim that means he isn't worthy of being in the best players in the NFL. Wasn't Bell considered one of the best in the NFL? Gurley? Elliott?

You keep saying best in the nfl but you need to qualify that by "best running back".....

There are 10 qbs, numerous defensive ends, lots of tackles etc more valuable than him.  He is a great player but lets slow down here

There are easily 20-30 players more valuable than cmac in the nfl.

I seriously doubt that.

But of that were true, what would have been the point of trading him? You wouldn't have gotten good value for him anyway.

I said make it one of the best offensive players in the NFL(offensive vs. defensive players is rarely a fair comparison). I stand by the fact he deserves to be mentioned in that group.

Does trading away a player you know is good in favor of putting draft picks in the hands of Marty Hurney honestly sound like a good plan to you?

I mean, once you throw Marty and the current coaching staff in you start to leave most logical assumptions behind entirely.

That's an entirely separate conversation than claiming that we force fed CMC at the expense of winning.

Tepper made it clear before the last 3 games that we were going to do whatever it took to get CMC to 1k/1k.  Our red zone offense droped from 58% to 44% to 33% and we went from scoring 21.5 points per game to 24 then 3 then 10.  Cant win scoring 10 and 3 points.

Well, if we're talking about coaching, it's probably worth considering that Christian McCaffrey running plays designed by Joe Brady is probably a different player than Christian McCaffrey running plays designed by Norv / Scott Turner.

This is what I hope.  Use him more like faulk hopefully
