You mean the backbone of the 16th best Total YPG offense, the 14th best Rushing Offense and the 19th best Scoring Offense?

That is kind of what some of us are saying. Having a top shelf running back alone isn't going to solve our offensive issues.

I’m not stating my opinion or saying I agree with any of this. I’m basically reiterating stuff Tepper has already talked about. This is a “process” and we’re going to lose before we start winning again but we should trust the process according to Tepper.

Keeping McCaffrey around helps keep Tepper’s product relevant during this so called “process” aka the Panthers sucking ass for the foreseeable future.

Another way of looking at this is it's a slightly pricier James Bradberry deal.   By letting Bradberry walk, we could afford to lock up another player.  CMC is well deserving.

People really think this is being overpaid? If for whatever he is getting too much wear at running back he can play out the rest of his career as a great wide receiver. He doesn't just have to be a running back. Hell he isn't just a running back.

They weren't the wide receivers CMC is and that is the difference. He's as much a wide receiver as he is a running bacm
