Revisiting the Historic 2012 draft

You remember the draft---we got Luke out of it.  As these players are now in the midst of their prime, lets check in and see how they are doing:

1. QB Andrew Luck (retired)

2. QB RGIII (From a starter in Washington for several games to 20 miles away as a scrub in Baltimore, he is done)

3. RB Trent RIchardson (even though he was in the pool of available players recently, he was not drafted---by the XFL)

4. OT Matt Kalil (He gave it his best shot, if you are talking about SUCKING)

5.  WR Justin Blackmon (What in the hell is this list?  last seen in 2013 pulling up to a crack house with an ankle bracelet on-joke)

6. CB Morris Claiborne (another NFL substance abuser, a current free agent. Oft injured, he has only started 59 out of 128 games in his career.  Still, after Luck, this guy is the second most successful player.)

7.  S Mark Barron.  (This is actually the player I wanted--has transitioned from S to ILB (Steelers) to salvage a career.  Never lived up to the hype.  Pittsburgh, the last stop in a weird career of bouncing between the Bucs and Rams, just terminated his contract last month. )

8. QB Ryan Tanneyhill.  ( Well, he sucked for good while and had a good year in Tennessee. Who knows?)

9.  MLB Luke Keuchly (retired.  next stop, Canton.)

Noteworthy:  For all you inspiring GMs needing some hope that you too could become an NFL GM, the Browns not only selected Richardson in the first round, they had a second pick---Brandon Weeden.

Feeling good about the PANTHERS after this?  Round 2?  Amini Silatolu.

lmfao its even funnier because  this is coming after the 2011 draft, which was a top 3 draft this millenium. to be fair to rg3 though, he was a great  player and superemly talented, he just had injury issues and the redskins kept forcing him to play injured and now he's a shell of his former self. he probably got the cam treatment worse than cam did. (sound familar?)

Horrific

I mean, this is the result of countless hours of watching film, interviews, combines, intelligence testing, visits, interviewing high school and college coaches and teammates----------there are people who are paid a lot of money to find the best talent-----and this is the red carpet?

Without looking, I could have throw darts at a board or pulled names out of a hat and bested this.

Haha exactly. I honestly wonder if a twitter poll would do just as well. Could save the league millions.
