Panthers trade:  With 3 elite tackles left, and T being a primary need for the Giants (now 8th) Cardinals (9th),  Browns (10th) and Jets (11th),  Tampa Bay moves up in a rare inter-division trade, moving from 14 to 7th to get a tackle to protect Tampa Brady.   Tampa Bay gets the #7 and #148 (the fifth rounder we got from Washington for Allen) for the #14 and #45 picks of the Buccaneers.

I could see that. But it would seem we didn't get enough back in this trade down scenario.

3. Buccaneers acquire the 7th and 152nd overall picks from the Panthers in exchange for the 14th and 45th overall picks

This idea was actually hatched during the CBS Sports Mock Draft 2.0, with Jonathan Jones (serving as the Buccaneers general manager) selecting former Alabama offensive tackle Jedrick Wills. While Houston's Josh Jones and/or Louisville's Mekhi Becton may still be there at No. 14, Tampa Bay -- who may be willing to give up one of their two fourth-round picks in order to trade up -- may not want to take any chances at missing out on acquiring one of the draft's top linemen. The Buccaneers surely want to improve that facet of their team after signing Tom Brady to a two-year deal.

For the Panthers, there's a good chance that the player they want may still be there with the 14th pick. That was the case during Monday's mock draft, with former Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah falling to Carolina at No. 14.

Jalen Hurts goes in the 1st. That GM gets fired within the next year or two for it.

What in the The Golden Calf of Bristol/Manziel are you talking about? I bet he goes in the third round-- and somebody compares him to Russell Wilson.

Hurts name is one of the hottest right now, thats a great guess @LinvilleGorge

Heres another I recently heard for the "surprise" theme, C.J. Henderson will be drafted before Okudah.

I believe Peter king said a GM told him, %40 of the teams rated henderson higher. Its that time of the year tho, lying time. Said he was a better Zone/system fit than Okudah.

The 3 surprises I could see happening:

1. The Lions or the Giants trade down - One of these two teams is going to be very tempted to take a deal to trade down by a team hungry for one of the QBs available trying to jump in front of the Dolphins or the Chargers.

2. The Raiders trade up to draft a QB - Gruden has never watched a QB snap the ball he doesn't like until they get on his team. Of all the "surprise" teams to throw a wrench into the works on draft day, the Raiders are it.

3. No WR goes in the Top 10 - With all of the talent at WR, no team bites on any of the great WR talent available. Instead a run on QBs, OTs, and a few of the common names we've seen thrown around pushes the first WR taken just outside the Top 10.
