I knew some would say Cam.. But still a different situation..

Cam had 2 years of Juco tape as well in a different system..

Also let's be clear Joe played with way more talent then Cam did...

There will be atleast 8 players drafted from that LSU offense.. How many from Cam's Auburn offense??

Just sayin'. Every situation is different.

I agree.. Just a question..

Is Joe Burrows this type of player in a Shula offensive scheme??

Are you completely sure he could be this good in a offense not as QB friendly??

No, he'd die in Shula's system. Hell, pretty much anyone who isn't Cam Newton would have. You basically have to be as big as the opposing DEs and as fast as the opposing LBs to survive in Shula's "please save me Cam!" offense.

That's the danger in landing on one of the worse franchises in the NFL for a #1 pick. Cam was actually lucky. Behind the scenes I'm sure Burrow or his team is hoping for a trade. Panthers are actually a logical choice for Burrows team IMO.

The price for #1 is high and Brady could get moving right away. Strategically that may be a real ballsy move. It would cost.

I don't think Cam was lucky. I think we were lucky. We subjected Cam to an unholy pounding playing behind a shoddy OL year in and year out while Shula dialed up slow developing downfield routes with no checkdowns because the checkdowns were trying to help out the aforementioned shoddy OL. And oh yeah, you're also our primary running option too.

Even at that.. Brady won't always be here... So how does that help Burrows??

If he's as good as advertised he better be good in more then 1 system so it doesn't matter where he goes.

He played in a Superbowl. That may never happen again. If he'd gone to the Bengals...

He'd get a two-three year install and game rep before Brady moves on if he's all that.

We'd get A franchise QB and the head coach to go on with him.

If the Panthers pulled off that trade I'd take back everything ive said about what they've done and said and proclaim Tepper, Marty, Rhule and Brady genius.

Rock and roll

What kinda chess would it be to pull it off using Bridgewater as part of the package? LOL!

Realistically though, it's gonna take a monster haul to get him out of Cincy. They're cheap as poo and there's nothing that gets your cheap hype like a #1 overall rookie QB. They won't put a winning team around him, but they'll ride that hype train for awhile if they can.

i feel like it should be mentioned that lately, mike brown hasnt been his usually cheap self and the bengals were actually quite aggressive and spendy in free agency this past year. some bengals fans are feeling zac taylor may have even changed mike "my father is rolling his grave" brown's approach.
