Well tat was gonna be true no matter who we signed at quarterback.

We're gonna lose a lot of games this year. Heck, even if we had stuck with Newton, that'd likely still be true. And yeah, it probably also applies next year as well.

So why Teddy? The true bottom line is because that's who our OC wanted, and I don't really think much more explanation is needed.

Will it work? It could. Don't know if it will, but either way, he's not the franchise guy and I don't believe he's meant to be.

Our OC is probably pulling a Chud and just trying to audition for a HC gig.

I don't know enough about him to make that kind of judgment.

I do think, even if he has a great season, other teams would be stupid to give him a head coaching job based on a single year.

So the truth finally comes out, FINALLY one of these cowards had the balls to say they straight up CHOSE Teddy fuging Bridgewater over Cam Newton. Glad to hear one of them finally admit it.

I CANNOT wait to watch Teddy sh*t the bed next year, if there even is an NFL season

Love what Rhule is saying. You can't tank with a coach like Rhule because he makes players better. Some of you are sleeping on Rhule thinking we are gonna be garbage the first few years. Sal Palantonio predicted a very quick turnaround. Im excited for a new future with the Panthers organization.

I’d say some actually want the team to be garbage for the next few years. At least, that is what one would get from the numerous pessimistic posts.

Rhule won two games his first season at Temple. Only one during his first season at Baylor. He's shown that he can turn around low to mid-level college programs, but it wasn't like the success was immediate. And it wasn't like he actually beat any good teams during his college HC career. His only wins over ranked teams came over briefly ranked ECU and Navy teams.

Maybe his "process" translates very well to the NFL level, but I have serious doubts and I think he'll have at least three years to prove himself. It's gonna be a bumpy ride, I just hope he proves to ultimately be the right man with the right plan.

Only people who can’t control their feeling and understand that this is a business is pissed. I’m not pissed and greatly looking forward to a new look Panthers, since the John Fox/Ron Rivera days.

Good for you, I need this same energy if this “it’s business” moves yield less than stellar results

I know there's plenty of talk of Marty's role being reduced, but nothing definitive. We can only hope.

With that said, we don't know how good Rhule will be at drafting either.

But one thing Rhule has shown is the ability to coach up lesser talent. He took two basement dwelling programs and turned them into solid programs within a couple years, all while dealing with many of the same players who were part of those programs when they were terrible. One time is an outlier, but he has replicated that at multiple stops. Who’s to say he can’t do that at the pro level? Only time will tell.

I get being angry about how Newton was treated, but it's possible to wish Newton success without hoping the Panthers fail.

I don't hate players who leave in free agency, and likewise I don't hate the team for moving on from favorite players. Those things are part of the game and have been for as long as I can remember.
