Who is the most important?

  1. 1. In a completely hypothetical where Brown, Okuda and Simmons are all available, you choose:

    • Brown over Simmons, Okudah
      21
    • Okudah over Simmons, Brown
      45
    • Simmons over Brown, Okudah
      27
    • Top WR--class is too deep not to take the top guy
      3
    • Got to fix OT now; draft one of these dudes!
      9
    • Herbert or another QB (NOT named Joe Burrow)
      5

Personally, I'm torn between Brown and Okudah.  I think Brown will make the most immediate impact and I voted that way.  That said, I like the 2nd round DTs way better than the 2nd round CBs.  So setting up the team for value in the 2nd, I prefer Okudah in the 1st round.

This is a very logical tiebreaker type of way to model this out.  I second this.  Pie to you for the level headed rationalization

every player on that list that doesn't throw the ball is an ancillary overinvestment, a feel good add-on that panther fans will coo about as he racks up pro bowl alternate selections while teams with franchise QBs go to super bowls.

I agree with this, however, there is not a player many deem to be a "franchise QB" available at pick 7. The only two people we believe to be capable of that title are Tua and Burrow who will both be gone by that pick.  Hindsight may very well prove this analysis incorrect.

He is pretty sharp.  Okudah is way above the other CBs   He is the Revis of this year's draft---oh wait----we could have drafted Revis--traded the pick away for Beason and Jarrett (picks)>

Wait where is Chase Young!!!  lol

@bababoey

I know you were joking, but I left Young off for a reason.  Literally no chance Young falls to #7.  There are scenarios (some less likely than others) where any of the rest of those top guys may get to us, even at #7.  Okudah is looking like a lock for the Lions where earlier ones were split on Brown and Okuda.  Now they are nearly all locking in on Okudah.
