Young has been the far more consistent college player. In hindsight, that really down final college season should've been a big red flag on Clowney, but all people could remember was that one time he hit that Michigan RB really hard.

Clowney like many fell victim to his own hype. It happens right regular. I believe Cam is tasting this as well. Injuries aside, league has been telling both about their current worth. BoB is AWFUL and the worst GM no question, still the best offer he got for Clowney was a late 3rd. No team wanted to trade for Cam and his former bestie Coach traded for his backup.... I just seen a couple Young interviews and got awful vibes. I have no idea how a person with crew of yes-men does NOT buy the BS. Even Rhule said if you say it enough, it becomes real....

Cam was a great NFL player who has major injury red flags and teams can't medically examine him right now. Totally different situation. Clowney was just an overhyped college prospect that had a really nice highlight reel hit everyone remembers.

I would take Simmons over Brown .   Simmons is the best LB in the draft and there is better depth at DT in the draft .  We could look at Fotu in a later round .  We have so many needs and Simmons is more versatile to play other positions of need .

Simmons screams Dave Gettleman pick.

Id say Young is the safest pick, tho I could see him becoming like Clowney. If brown does what he did in the SEC in NFL- he should be #1 pick. His profile and the huge increase in talent/strength will for sure test him.

I should have clarified for players that will be available at our pick.

From what I saw of him, I didn't see many instances of him being blocked 1-on-1 by a lineman and when he was, he usually won. Obviously NFL linemen are at a different level, but the top tier SEC teams have really good olines

dave likes big boys and hog molies.

So he says... his 1st round draft history says otherwise. 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 DTs and 2 LBs. So out of 7 drafts only 2 "hog mollies" or 28%.  The pick could literally be any position.
